An old friend of mine, his dad is worth over $100 million. Built it buying distressed land in the 80s and 90s, then developing apartments in what later became boom suburbs. He’s in his 80s now. Young wife, waterfront mansions, yacht worth over $10 million, 100’s of investment properties. His son (guy I know) is still a manager at a small business. Leaves at 5:30am, gets home after 7 some nights, barely sees his kids, still grinding a mortgage. Growing up, the dad used the kids and other family to get loans if he was short on capital, false payslips, dodgy documents, kickbacks to bank managers and real estate agents to get distressed assets below market rate. The kids helped him raise capital for the deals. When the assets later exploded in value 20 years later, he closed the business, sold off the contracts, and pushed the kids into normal jobs when he retired. When my mate asked why he didn’t get more of a share or a chance to take over the company, his dad said: β€œYou’ll have to wait until I die. I don’t trust any of you with this much money. I helped you get a house. The rest you’ll inherit when I’m gone.” Some old wealthy guys build something and hand the next generation a real shot to make it bigger. Others treat their kids like temporary labour or capital sources, then keep everything to themselves until they die. I can’t understand why so many boomers and old wealthy people do this to their kids. Such a sad existence. All I want to do is be successful to help my own family. Nothing else matters. People who hoard wealth until death have no soul.

3 substances I will rip for the rest of my life - Moda (Soon Sunosi) - Bromantane - Red Wine All 10X in quality of life - will never go back
if you don't > goon twice daily > haven't spent the last 6 years dooming it out on IG reels for 4 hours a day > don't hit a fat bong full of weed before your shift at the local popeyes everyday this is all you need to focus deeply for 13+ hours a day and make a fuck ton of bread: if the opposite is true, yes, you will probably need meth and tren to make your bed in the morning.

Biggest mistakes I see with CEM Agencies 1. Overreliance on CEM vs. other channels 2. Unable to say no to shit clients 3. Hard to delegate (Staff have a hard time solving PMF) 4. Hard time telling a client they are wrong / what to do (Can't play big dog) Nothing wrong with working with PRE-PMF but most founders will not be able to solve it
the downside with being cracked at GTM (actually good not just throwing data into clay) is that most of your work becomes custom projects for companies that haven't fully solidified PMF and now your tasked with solving for that it's like quicksand

RIP @RetentionAdam I’m heartbroken. Top most influential friend I’ve had recently and an entrepreneur I aspired to be like in every way. Will keep living in a way to make you and your beautiful family’s memory proud. Great man.

There has got to be a better way to manage 20+ agents than just going from chat to chat. Best agent orchestration/management? (Not harness)

Keep coming back to this idea That unless your ambition is to stack 2k/m retainers and have 100+ clients (which is a totally fine thing to do) You need to take your outbound skills and go start a business that is not lead gen and use your outbound skills to drive all the sales and have fulfillment partners on the backend

Statement from Amazon MGM Studios: β€œThe search for the next James Bond is underway. While we don’t plan to comment on specific details during the casting process, we’re excited to share more news with 007 fans as soon as the time is right.”

If you don't have a shark of a lawyer on standby you're not doing big enough deals First time you sign an MSA with a real company the clauses that kill margins aren't the obvious ones Broad IP assignment that takes your internal tooling + indemnification carve-outs above the liability cap + long net payment terms labeled "standard" Spend the money on real council the first time you get one of these instead of the fifth

Absolutely critical for an entrepreneur to hone knowing when to pivot & when to grind thru Very glad for the time spent In GTM trenches Honing that 6th sense for PMF was probably one of the most valuable traits see guys just enduring misery for 7+ years on a failed projectπŸ₯΄

You hate your business because you hate your clients You hate your clients because you work with people who have bad offers and no money That happens because you have no optionality. And you have no optionality because you aren't pushing enough volume, to the right people, with the right offer Simple
