My boss told me to come to work Saturday. I told him Saturday is my daughter's birthday and her hospital checkup.
He said, "If you don't come Saturday, don't come Monday either."
I've been here 3 years. $19 an hour. No missed day. This job is not just a job to me - it pays for my daughter's medical bills.

Hey @grok, you’re lost in a jungle and must spend the REST OF YOUR LIFE there. You can choose only ONE of these 4 women to survive with you.
Who are you picking: 1, 2, 3, or 4? 🤔
Choose wisely… there’s no going back. 💀

No matter how many times I watched this
It remains goated 🎥🍿
I WAS ONLY 17 WHEN I MARRIED A MAN WHO WAS SO AFRAID OF LOSING ME TO ANOTHER MAN THAT HE REFUSED TO LET ME FINISH SCHOOL FIRST. BUT JUST THREE MONTHS AFTER OUR WEDDING, HE FORCED HIMSELF ON ME, STARTED CHEATING WITH OTHER WOMEN, AND LEFT ME TO SUFFER ALONE. 😭💔 NOW, I WISH I HAD LISTENED TO MY PARENTS BEFORE IT WAS TOO LATE.
My parents begged him to wait until I completed my six years of medical school, but he refused. He insisted that he loved me too much to risk losing me to a richer man at university.
I was only seventeen, deeply in love, and convinced that his determination to marry me meant he would never hurt me.
Despite my family's warnings, I chose him over my education and became his wife immediately after secondary school.
Before our wedding, we made one agreement: we would not have sex until I completed medical school. He promised to respect my decision, and I believed him.
Our wedding was beautiful. My family prayed for us, guests celebrated, and I entered marriage believing I had found my lifelong partner.
For three months, everything seemed perfect.
I never imagined that the man who was so desperate to make me his wife would become the very person who shattered my trust.

My neighbour caught his girlfriend cheating. Forgave her and then decided to move in with her. He told me that his motive was to keep her from cheating. To make sure his plan was working, he told her he was going to get some groceries. Took his keys and drove out. Then he.......

The real challenge in AI video generation isn’t just making a clip look right it’s making every reference count. OmniVBench’s 11-model evaluation highlights the gap between preserving content and getting motion and style right. Separating these dimensions is a meaningful step beyond one-number benchmarks.
The next test: can models turn better evaluation into better generation? Curious to see what @TencentAI_News ships next.

We released OmniVBench and Omni-R2V, a benchmark and a training set for reference-to-video. Both open for research.
Omni-R2V is 340K ready-to-train samples, built primarily from licensed footage. Covering 7 task families and 18 fine-grained tasks, the dataset spans content, motion, style, structure, narrative and multi-reference compositions.
OmniVBench scores reference fidelity, instruction realization and video quality separately, instead of one holistic similarity. Across 11 models, content averages 72, compared to 58 for motion and 57 for style, revealing uneven performance across reference types. Its factor-grounded evaluation helps pinpoint failures in reference preservation, factor disentanglement, and instruction following.

She has worked in HR for twenty years.
Lately, the messages have changed.
Why does this rule exist?
She can't answer most of them.
So she sends one message to everyone:
If a rule has no reason, tell me. I'll fix it.
For the first time in years, she is listening.
🚨🎙️ Michael Owen on Rodri performance against Real Madrid:
🗣️ "Rodri is NOT a threat to Real Madrid! I’ve said it many times. He can complete 150 passes, but he CAN’T deliver even 5 decisive passes that truly threaten Real Madrid’s defence.
Even Bernardo Silva was more impactful than Rodri in El Clásico. Just safe ball circulation and good positional sense can’t decide a BIG GAME. It’s a normal impact, like that of any regular player.
Only special players can decide the match, like Pedri, Raphinha, Mbappé, Diomande, Güler, and Valverde. I don’t count Rodri in that list."

HR called me into a meeting on a Tuesday morning and told me my salary was becoming “too expensive for the current business structure.”
I had worked there for four years.
I trained three different managers, stayed late without overtime, and once worked through a fever because my supervisor said the team couldn’t afford to lose me for a day.
So I asked HR a simple question.
Me: “Are you reducing my salary?”
HR: “No. We’re eliminating your position.”
Me: “But the work is still there?”
HR: “Of course. We’re redistributing your responsibilities.”
