25 years ago today, we introduced the iPod. 1,000 songs in your pocket.
A small team. An unforgiving deadline. We had months to bring the hardware, software, and music experience together. Proud of what we built and that it means so much to people still today. A device that has been woven in many ways into our lives. People have filled their iPods with road trips, breakups, workouts, special occasions with family and friends.
How cool that the iPod has become part of culture and our stories. 25 years, it’s hard to believe! Celebrating the team that made it happen today 👏

Unfortunately, we are being blocked by certain oligarchs in order to maintain their monopolistic chokehold on the Indian people. You can guess who they are …
This is a crime against the people of India!
India needs @Starlink 🇮🇳
• 11,256 of India’s listed villages still lacked 4G coverage as of May 2026.
• India had 1.093 billion internet subscriptions in March 2026, but only 440.87 million were rural. Rural subscription density was 48.31 per 100 people, compared with 126.80 in urban India.
• BharatNet had laid over 850,000 route-km of fibre and made about 221,000 Gram Panchayats service-ready. However, its Points of Presence were reported operational at only 80,472 Gram Panchayats in June 2026.
• Only 4.26% of India’s internet subscriptions were wired connections in March 2026. Starlink could give underserved communities another route to high-speed broadband.
• Starlink has already built 20 gateway sites in India, according to SpaceX Vice President of Starlink Business Operations Lauren Dreyer, speaking at India Mobile Congress today.
• Starlink says it has developed India-specific security controls designed to keep Indian user data within India.
• Its satellite network could bring high-speed internet to remote villages, mountains and islands where extending fibre or mobile networks is difficult.
• Better connectivity could help rural schools access online learning, clinics offer remote consultations and small businesses reach more customers. Starlink already supports education and healthcare in remote communities internationally.
• Portable Starlink terminals have supported disaster response around the world. They could give Indian emergency teams backup connectivity when floods, earthquakes or storms damage ground networks.
• Direct to Cell could also help ordinary 4G phones connect beyond tower coverage, subject to Indian approvals and mobile operator partnerships.
• The government itself identifies difficult terrain, low commercial viability and infrastructure constraints as reasons for remaining coverage gaps. This is exactly where Starlink could help India reach more people.
• India should complete the remaining clearances and spectrum allocation so Starlink can begin commercial service.
• SpaceX’s Vice President of Starlink Business Operations, Lauren Dreyer, said that Starlink is ready to help achieve Prime Minister Modi’s vision of 100% connectivity across India. She highlighted its potential to connect remote classrooms, support telemedicine and restore connectivity after disasters, adding, “With Starlink, people can get connected within minutes, not years.”
India’s hardest-to-reach communities deserve reliable internet too.

BREAKING NEWS: I am pleased to announce that the United States of America has entered into an Agreement with The Kingdom of Denmark, and Greenland, that gives the United States permanent control over security, and all other needs, in Greenland, completely addressing ALL of our many U.S. concerns. There will be NO COST to the United States! At my direction, we worked with representatives of Denmark and Greenland to guarantee that the United States will FOREVER have the complete ability to do what is necessary in Greenland in order to secure and defend the security of Greenland, and the United States of America. Additionally, from now on, no U.S. adversary can EVER have a base in Greenland, have a military presence in Greenland, or make sensitive investments in Greenland, without our express written approval. For over 100 years, Presidents have known the strategic importance of Greenland, but NONE of them were able to do anything about it. I am proud to be the President that permanently and conclusively addressed this very important situation. This is an “Infinite Life” Agreement, there is no end! We are very honored and proud of what has just taken place, and everything agreed to today will be cherished by the American People. We will immediately begin the process of developing a large Military presence in the appropriate part of Greenland, of which there are many. We will work with the people of Greenland in its development and construction. This solution is a great one for the United States of America, Denmark, Greenland, and all of our Allies. We look forward to working with the wonderful people of Denmark and Greenland toward a magnificent future with respect to this large, and highly strategic, parcel of land. We will be very protective of it! This is a dream come true for the United States of America, one that is very important, historic, and special. Thank you for your attention to this matter! President DONALD J. TRUMP

But Susan and I didn’t want the children that were born just before to be completely left out, so we are contributing $6.25B—$250 to 25 million eligible American children—born between 2016 and 2024, invested in America’s greatest companies for their future; for their tuition, for down payments, for start-up capital for a business. And to every business leader out there who hasn’t already joined us, please join us."

$60Billion.
This is the first, but not the last, big exit at the application layer of AI.
As product value accrues and accelerates upwards, the focus over the next few years will be firmly on the “control plane”:
What gives organizations who want to go all in on AI the governance, control, auditability and business continuity across models and across time that they will need to firmly make the leap.
This is the next big phase of AI value creation that the SpaceX/Cursor merger is highlighting.
SpaceX has exercised the option to acquire @cursor_ai in an all-stock transaction with the goal of building the world’s most useful AI models.
For the past few months, SpaceXAI has been jointly training a model with Cursor, which will be released in Cursor and Grok Build soon.
We look forward to working closely with the Cursor team to advance our frontier AI capabilities

Nvidia paid 3X Groq's September valuation to acquire it. This is strategically nuclear.
Every AI lab was GPU dependent, creating massive concentration risk. Google broke free with TPUs for internal use, proving the "Nvidia or nothing" narrative was false. This didn't just demonstrate technical feasibility, it revealed that Nvidia's moat was shallower than markets believed. When a hyperscaler successfully builds custom silicon, every sophisticated buyer starts running" should we build our own?" calculations. This drops Nvidia’s TAM.
Jonathan Ross (Groq’s founder) is the inventor of TPU. He understood the architectural principles that made non-GPU AI acceleration viable. His LPU architecture targeted inference workload where GPUs are actually over-engineered. This matters because inference is where the real money is long-term. Training is one-time capex, but inference is recurring opex that scales with usage. If Groq proved LPUs could hit competitive price-performance on inference, every cloud provider would white-label their architecture. Nvidia would get squeezed into "just training" while losing the annuity stream.
It is safe to see this deal as Nvidia insuring against Groq enabling an entire ecosystem of Nvidia alternatives. But what is more interesting is the second-order effect, the customer lock-ins. Now, Nvidia owns both the incumbent standard (CUDA + GPU) and the most credible alternative architecture (LPUs). This is MSFT buying Github-level strategic. Any AI lab evaluating "build vs buy vs alternative vendor" now faces:
- Option A (Nvidia GPUs)
- Option B (Nvidia <> Groq LPUs)
- Option C (start from scratch)
Turning a competitive threat into a customer segmentation tool, Jensen is the master of trades. They can now price-discriminate: premium customers pay for GPUs, price-sensitive inference gets funneled to LPUs, and Nvidia captures both.
If Nvidia doesn't integrate LPUs in its roadmap, this was a pure defensive play. If they do integrate it and start offering "GPU for training, LPU for inference" bundles, this becomes a textbook moat-widening acquisition.
The most expensive thing in technology isn't building the future, it's preventing someone else from building a future without you.
