chinese speakers have been in BC for over 200 years. they have shaped BC’s past and present. this is both profoundly racist and ignorant about this province’s history.

Whoops. I accidentally included the screenshot of BC Conservative president Mauro Francis saying that he wishes there could be a violent war between the left and the right, instead of the screenshot of him lamenting that people in Vancouver speak Chinese. My apologies.

i refute this bc MY wokest opinion is that i believe everyone is racist and needs to do the work to become an anti-racist but nobody ever wants to acknowledge that ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
The issue with Twitter is that you can say white kids loved de facto racism in middle school while telling you racism wasn’t real and some dumbass who doesn’t know what de facto racism is will tell you liking borat isn’t the same as the n word. Ok.

There's been racist (liking Borat) and been racist (running a Twitter account and calling teenagers the n word all day)

like yall can't convince me that you've never said something ignorant that could be considered a microaggression or said something that was in some way offensive towards a group of people lol because again, bigotry isn't just wanting someone of a specific background to die

I think people on both sides of the Slayyyter debate have valid points, and no one (especially not a Black person) is required to forgive. But the “we don’t know what she’s thinking, she could still be racist in her mind” argument is asinine. What are we? The Thought Police?

there needs to be a reckoning…
Charli D'Amelio separated herself from the D’Amelio family business. Now, she oversees her own finances.
The internet took note when she and her parents unfollowed one another on Instagram. Her father Marc said on TikTok that he now communicates with Charli “through her lawyer.” As for her sister Dixie, Charli says, “I mean, that’s my sister. I’m going to love her till the day I die. But there are times where you’re figuring stuff out.”
