I’m going to say this once and once only….. it’s election season. I am going to talk politics once in a while. I’m going to give my opinion on things once in a while. I will not make it my entire personality, but yes, there will be political comments made over the next month…. I can guarantee some of them might offend you 😉I love to talk politics and keep 99% of it off here….but there will be times it hits this timeline. IDK what hotels the airbnb hater crowd frequents, but a random airbnb clears the now $200/night typical roadside motel/hotel by a significant margin - like 8/10 times in my experience. Plus you get a house! Normally that includes a deck, free parking, multiple bathrooms, a kitchen and maybe more. And the ask for all that is “take the sheets off the bed and put the trash outside”. Says more about Gergely and that crowd than Airbnb IMO.

Airbnb’s problems in a nutshell Too many hosts view it as a way to make easy money: charging hotel rates, plus cleaning fee, then mandate guests do all cleaning But all customers expect this to be a hospitality service I never consider Airbnbs exactly because of such hosts

I agree with this. Instant replay was created to fix obvious mistakes and an unintended consequence is you also have to change these ridiculous tiny mistakes that you can only notice in super hi def slow motion. They got the call right last night but it’s not in the spirit of the rule or replay system.

Why would the guests lose anything? Guests simply go back to hotels, hosting and cleaning businesses die, nothing happens to guests. why would they pay more than hotels. Airbnb is already not cheaper than hotels?
