The last couple of days have been incredibly disappointing. I have witnessed so much dehumanisation of and projection on Zee and NuNew within the fandom. Can we please agree to stop analysing their every move, assigning intentions to their actions, and speaking on their behalf? We need to understand that unless you are one of the two people involved in a relationship or dynamic, you have absolutely no idea what boundaries, expectations, or limits they have established between themselves. Those are things known ONLY to the people involved. We also need to remember that Zee and NuNew see all of this. So, take a moment to put yourselves in their shoes. Imagine logging in and finding strangers, who know absolutely nothing about you or your personal relationships, writing lengthy think pieces about your intentions, motives, and the dynamics you share with the people closest to you. Imagine having your every interaction scrutinised and dissected by people who have no insight into your private life. Think about how uncomfortable, invasive, intrusive and exhausting that must be. This kind of behaviour creates an incredibly toxic environment for our artists and places unnecessary pressure on them. JUST LET THEM BE! There is a reason celebrities become increasingly reluctant to share aspects of their personal relationships with the public. The moment they do, those relationships become subjects of endless projection, judgement, and scrutiny from complete strangers. And seeing someone approach NuNew to tell him that he doesn't compliment Zee enough, or question how he intends to repay Zee for buying the last concert tickets, is genuinely one of the most disgusting things I have witnessed. YOU ARE RUDE, INTRUSIVE AND ENTITLED! Let me make this very clear: that is none of your f*cking business. You have absolutely no idea what happens behind closed doors. You don't know the conversations they've had, the ways they show appreciation for one another, or what their relationship looks like when the cameras are off. You are not entitled to that information, nor do you have the right to demand that they demonstrate their affection or appreciation in ways that satisfy your expectations. Please remember that they are human beings, not characters in a story for you to analyse, dissect, and dictate. They are entitled to privacy, personal boundaries, and relationships that exist independently of public opinion. So, please, stop meddling in people's personal relationships, whether they are familial, romantic, or friendships. Stop projecting your expectations onto them, stop making assumptions, and stop treating their private dynamics as something you are entitled to understand or comment on. Let Zee and NuNew live their lives, nurture their relationships, and express themselves in whatever way feels right to them. You want authenticity, right? So why is it when you get it you suddenly proceed to dictate how they should behave? Support them without making their personal lives your business. They deserve that much respect. And I say this to everyone in the fandom: the best thing we can do for Zee and NuNew is to stop treating their personal lives as though they are ours to dissect and discuss. We can appreciate the love, support without scrutinising every gesture, word, or interaction for deeper meaning. Not everything needs to be analysed, interpreted, or turned into a discussion. When we constantly engage in this kind of behaviour, we normalise the idea that we are entitled to have an opinion on every aspect of their private lives. And that normalises both good and bad takes on them. Sometimes, the greatest form of support is simply allowing people the freedom to be themselves, without expectations, assumptions, or unnecessary scrutiny.
