I told my teacher I wanted to paint this scene next. She told me the painting would look better if I removed "the other guy on the right". I understand the rule of thirds and stuff, but I don't have the heart to separate them.

They're depicted in such a tender and intimate way that you rarely see anywhere. They care so much about the other and the careful dance between them hits so good. Like yeah, I can see those two grocery shopping or folding their laundry together.

The main reason I got so obsessed with Mine and Daigo is because of how much chemistry they have and that, compared to most queer ships in media, they felt authentically real. Or maybe I just needed an escapism from the global dumpster fire, who knows
