Top 5 film for me. Watched it for the first time when I was in high school. This quote from Ellis towards the end of the film left a big impression on me:
"What you got, ain't nothing new. This country's hard on people. You can't stop what's coming... it ain't all waiting on you. That's vanity."

Cyber LLMs finding out that Samsung spies on you illegally
Reverse engineer, decompile, and hack everything. Because your home and family has already been hacked, you are spied on -- the microphone in your TV is phoning outside of your country
live-tweeting on samsung findings were fun.
i'll let my agents give it a bit more time, but this document is already the most comprehensive breakdown of some key concerns of tizen i've seen run on a live device.
it takes like a good while for me just to scroll through it (there's about 44 writeups as of right now on individual functionality).
release is probably happening in a few days.

The most radical thing you can do to rebel against this emerging post-literate, brain-slop-world we are entering is read long, complicated books on a daily basis. The ability to pay attention for long periods will be one of the most valuable and rare skills of the future.

A man with no routine is a slave to emotion. One bad day, and he spirals. One craving, and he folds. But the man who anchors his life to systems? He absorbs chaos without breaking. Structure isn’t suffocation. It’s protection.

"Soon AI will write almost all code, but it still writes it in languages designed for humans, and since no one can review millions of AI-written lines, bugs pile up. The stricter a language is, the less the AI gets wrong, which is why AI is now solving open math problems in Lean, where every step must be proven, but Lean is too slow and limited for real software. Bend brings Lean's proofs to a practical language that runs at C speed and on GPUs. Since AI-written code comes with proof that it works, an AI can keep improving software with no human checking it, because any change that breaks it is rejected. We're soon going run that AutoResearch loop on Bend's own compiler, pushing its performance even further." - Opus 5.5

‘agency’ is a bland bourgeois replacement for the high romantic language of ‘courage’. too many priests and not enough warriors
Btw, there’s no such thing as merit. In many settings.
The throne is for the taking.
Be as performative as you can. Capture attention.
It’s the only way to ascend quickly.
