Recently, my alma mater Harvard Law School asked for a donation for my 15th reunion, a class I’ll always share with the guy who sexually assaulted me when I was a teenager and completely got away with it. THREAD
CONGRATULATIONS @phcartaya!

It’s
- books like BLACK ENOUGH by @ibizoboi
- organizations like @AOBFound
- words from authors like @LeahsMark
that are planting the seeds for those stories. So grateful 💛.

From author @LeahMark #BlackEnough to students @KIPPDC_AIM "Would you be willing to put your personal stories down on paper?" Hard to share, but we're glad that authors in this collection did! A program with @AOBFound. A pleasure to be here with @kitonlit & @ProjectLITAIM

TOWERS of books await the students of @KIPPDC_Aim - these students and teachers fell hard for #BlackEnough during a Valentine’s Day book-dating event by @betweenmargins so today’s presentation by @LeahsMark has a packed house!

A book bin in the ELA classroom we’re visiting @KIPPDC_Aim shows we’re in the right space with @LeahsMark & anthology #BlackEnough today. What do these students want to see happen for Black youth in stories? Less violence, more “Success.” @AOBFound
