Patrick Stewart reveals how his attorney bought Professor X’s wheelchair at auction then made the X-Men studio pay to use it again. After the first X-Men movie wrapped, the studio auctioned off the wheelchair Stewart used to play Professor X. One of his personal attorneys bought it and placed it behind his desk. But when X-Men 2 came around, the studio wanted the wheelchair back. Sir Patrick Stewart: “The studio says, ‘So, you know, we can use the chair again.’ Oops, no, we can’t, it’s been sold.” “This attorney rented it back to the studio for a significant sum.” Conan O’Brien: “I got to hire this guy.
