Happy and proud to share that Simtiva (veterinary version), a TIVA simulator for small animals, was successfully used to guide TIVA in prolonged surgery in a cat, and the results were recently published in VAA journal. The case report describes the anesthetic management of a cat undergoing thoracic duct ligation revision surgery for persistent chylothorax, with a focus on the use of a pharmacokinetic simulator-guided propofol TIVA, combined with a dexmedetomidine CRI and regional anesthesia. Simtiva.vet was co-developed by Enzo Minghella and me one year ago and is actively updated.
