Dr. Jeffrey Drebin, Chair of the Department of Surgery, has been named MSK's next Chief Physician Executive. He will succeed esteemed neuro-oncologist Dr. Lisa DeAngelis who will retire this summer.
In this role, Dr. Drebin will lead all clinical services and research, medical education, and multi-center collaborations for MSK. He will also continue to serve patients as a member of the Hepatopancreatobiliary Surgery Service.

When a young surfer severed his femoral artery on a sharp surfboard skeg in Ocean City Beach this past summer, quick-thinking surf beach patroler Katie Greiser sprang into action, creating a makeshift #tourniquet while waiting for first responders to arrive.
