"I have a problem when a North Indian actor speaks about South Indian cinema in a way that creates a North-South divide. The same Karan Johar, whose Dharma Productions film I acted in, decided not to promote me despite me playing a prominent role. My name was dropped from the promotions without any explanation. They released a song featuring me but did not even tag me. What am I supposed to call this? Is it because I am a South Indian actress?"

Disappointing!!
This is really not a north vs south issue. It is a an issue on how the movie industry as a whole treats female leads. Jhanvi made a mistake and owned up to it and Karan Johar not mentioning you on the posts for the song is disrespectful.
They are both not the same and one mistake doesn’t justify the mistake of the other.
Instead of trying to sound defensive , all these issues should only be used to discuss how can women be infact treated better in the industry.
