And this horse riding Rumi enthusiast preaching consciousness while participating in the political appropriation of a young boy's death. what exactly is conscious about turning someone's martyrdom into political currency? speaking of consciousness, when Tufail was killed in June 2010, your Sasta Che Guevara was himself a Cabinet Minister in Omar Abdullah's government. today, he chooses his own father as the symbolic recipient of his resignation.where was this political and moral consciousness when tufail's killing became one of the defining tragedies of that period? martyrdom is not a political commodity. the dead are not campaign material, their sacrifices are not rhetorical ammunition,oour martyrs did not give their lives to become convenient props in somebody's political theatre. Khair whatever your political calculations or eventual fate, this entire spectacle will be a political W for the Bhajpa.when political actors claiming to represent Kashmir reproduce the very mechanisms of emotional manipulation that have historically disempowered its people, they unconsciously strengthen the political narrative of their opponents. the tragedy is not that our collective grief is repeatedly exploited. It is that we keep allowing political actors to decide what we should remember, how we should feel and when we should feel it.

JKCS Condemns Stone-Pelting Incident in Pehroo, Anantnag; Questions Growing Intolerance and Division in Society The Jammu & Kashmir Civil Society (JKCS) strongly condemns the reported stone-pelting incident at Pehroo, Sherbagh, Anantnag, during Isha prayers. Any act of violence or intimidation at a place where people gather to worship is unacceptable and deserves unequivocal condemnation. However, this incident raises a deeper and more disturbing question: How far have division, hatred and intolerance damaged our society that we are now witnessing attacks on places where our own people gather to practise their faith? Have we become so divided that we have forgotten the very essence of our religion—peace, compassion, brotherhood and respect? Our faith was meant to unite us, not turn us against one another. Places of worship should nurture spirituality and strengthen our bonds, not become grounds for hostility. JKCS urges the police to conduct a fair and impartial investigation and take appropriate legal action against those found responsible. We also appeal to the public to maintain restraint, avoid rumours and allow the facts to emerge. The real tragedy is not merely an incident of stone-pelting, but the erosion of the values that hold our society and faith together.
