Turns out #Threads isn't available in Lux yet (was misinformed). That said, I have set up an #Instagram account where I plan on migrating to. Feel free to follow me there (no obligations whatsoever, of course!): @mr.pierres_threads #islconnects and #islreconnects

The time has come. Although I am partly at fault for not posting on here lately, #Twitter simply just isn't the same. Even with months-apart check-ins, there is hardly any activity aside from the odd busty ladies reposting my Tweets for attention... Find me on #Threads soon 🙌

Day2 of #Minecraft in #G3 @ISLuxembourg was a success. Among other things: castles on top of mountains, discovering villages, learning to teleport, getting stuck in the Nether and getting a pet sea turtle !

Rich math activities for all ages as we count down to winter break - each one easy to link into @Seesaw for those of us who prefer keeping it culturally neutral :) #amathproblemaday #islthinks #islconnects @mathsmakesense @JJopkmcgowan @rollings_megan @MrDHazelton @LauraClaire_C

This week's sketch: the Inquiry Classroom. The design of a learning space can nurture questions, curiosity, and agency or it can squelch it. What story does your classroom tell about the student ownership and learning within that space? #inquirymindset

This week's sketch: the Role of the Teacher Librarian. Undeniably a space for rich inquiry whether it is to collaborate, to research, or to critically think, today's libraries are hubs for inquiry learning and the role of the librarian in these space is HUGE. #inquirymindset

What might a 17th century Zen Buddhist and poet have to teach us about the art of writing — and living? A thread:

Children start the basics of game theory even when they play Hide and Seek. Optimal hiding spot vs. Distance to run to "pole". We should be doing Game Theory in Grade 1, but instead we worry how fast we can get to long multiplication.

The first thing I think of when I hear inquiry teaching is being flexible and letting students guide the learning. It was hard for me at first to let go of some control as a teacher, but having students lead the way is beautiful. That means we listen to them and plan around them! – at Luxembourg
Q1: What does inquiry-based teaching and learning mean to you? #PYPchat
