This researcher claimed a simple HOUSEPLANT somehow influenced a random-number generator to shine more light on itself during a bizarre experiment at Princeton’s PEAR lab, as if its CONSCIOUSNESS could bend probabilities in the physical world. The experiment, called PlantREG, was described by researcher Adam Michael Curry, who said he participated in it. The setup was simple but extraordinary. Researchers placed a plant in one corner of a windowless room. A single grow light was positioned above it, controlled by a random-number generator (RNG). The machine could direct light toward any of four corners, each with an equal 25% chance. But according to Curry, the light favored the plant’s corner far more frequently than expected, almost as though the plant were manipulating randomness to survive. Interestingly, Princeton’s PEAR laboratory also used QUANTUM random-number generators based on microscopic processes, including quantum tunneling. However, whether this particular experiment used one remains unverified. In July 2021, Curry acknowledged that PlantREG had never been formally published as a scientific article. He believed there might have been a technical report, but couldn’t locate it. Could even a simple plant somehow influence physical probability, or was it all just chance?
