Excellent summary of the research about the uber popular 'growth mindset' concept: its very popularity made me skeptical, but the evidence supports it as a real effect. It's worth for educators to know the subtleties…
In case you missed it: I published a (freely available) guide to the extremely complicated growth mindset research literature earlier this year aft.org/ae/winter2022-2023/w…

Global warming is a single number for changes in global, annual mean temperature. Climate change captures the effects of that, including increased weather (but not climate) variability. xitter.cf/CColose/status/1611787…
I bet it won’t. You heard it here first. “Climate change” was used at least since the 1970s, it and “global warming” are both correct descriptions of what is happening. “Climate variability” is not.

Every successful technology in history has experienced and exponential S curve of adoption by our societies. There are NO exceptions. And it is never a 1 to 1 substitution. Demand for the old falls off a cliff before the new reaches scale.

It’s been a mystery why Roman concrete often lasted thousands of years, but ours decays in mere decades. Turns out they incorporated chemicals in a process that induces self-healing; scientists at MIT just figured this all out - in 2022. Extraordinary. news.mit.edu/2023/roman-conc…
