after 400+ rides, i'm churning @Waymo, a product i genuinely loved. the service and quality have deteriorated at an astonishing rate over the past 6 months. despite repeatedly tagging them on X and submitting feedback, nothing has improved.

a few examples: • my usual 14-min commute now consistently takes 20+ mins. waymo seems to invent a new, longer route every day • repeatedly blocks my apartment's garage door and the parking garage entrance at work • misses turns / gets confused at intersections, adding 10–15 mins to rides • randomly drops me off 2-3 blocks from my actual destination • i stepped out in the middle of traffic today to get out because it re-routed for the 3rd time

I wanted an accessible, persistent, and contextual AI on my Mac, so I built (and open sourced) it. Supports BYOK, voice transcription, screen awareness, computer use, and memory. Easy to invoke with a shortcut.

Other neat things you can do: control apps, like Spotify to play music, order DoorDash, find and download photos in seconds, rewrite emails in Superhuman, organize your desktop, and more.

I made a lil app (that mostly works) that tells you interesting stories and facts as you walk around in real-time (in voice!). alongtour.app/

It turns out it’s 32k steps to walk from Pac Heights to Sausalito and back. Not bad. Great views.
