#PrivacyMatters - The courts have upheld that the CNO is able to conduct “informal investigations” of information already in their possession, information that is publicly accessible or information that is not considered private or protected information by other provincial or federal Acts.
- Information that is private or otherwise protected, cannot be accessed by the CNO unless:
a) they have consent of the individual to whom the information pertains, or
b) they are requesting that information under legal authority (i.e. via provisions in an Act).
- Private or otherwise protected information that is relevant, can be collected under the authority and powers granted to an Investigator that is duly appointed under s.75 of the Code.
The CNO violates patient privacy rights/laws & privacy laws protecting the personal information of nurses by:
a) Using employees as unappointed “investigators” to access private and otherwise protected information.
b) Doing this as an ongoing and continuous course of action - which is relied on as a routine part of their practice.

Immigration is basically the only number I pay attention to anymore. Debt is reversible. This isn't.
BREAKING: Canada's Carney’s government has released its 2027–29 immigration plan:
- 380,000 new permanent residents a year
- 370,000 new temporary residents a year (workers and students)
- Up to 348,000 more people already in Canada moved to permanent status through one-time programs
Combined, that could push permanent resident admissions well past the record of about 485,000 set in 2024, per CBC

Was talking to a medical biller last week who advised that while Ontario Health cards no longer show gender, the sex marker still sits in the OHIP system. Change it, and the system treats the patient as the new sex.
So when a claim goes in for a man having a hysterectomy, OHIP rejects it. The billing error code is:
👉 A2B – “Wrong Sex for Service – This service is not normally performed for this sex.”
Medical records are being screwed up across the country.
