Crazy and interesting times to be building in tech right now. Things are moving so fast that AI is changing roles, redefining industries, and making some skills and roles obsolete. I think we need to start thinking beyond how to keep up with the changes. We need to think about how to become market leaders instead of constantly playing catch-up. We’ve seen this with technologies like Bitcoin. Those who understood the possibilities early had the opportunity to build ahead of the curve. I’m not just thinking about the next 2-3 years. I’m thinking about the next 10–20 years. What will the world look like? What infrastructure will people depend on? What businesses will exist that don’t even make sense to us today? The biggest opportunity might not be in building what everyone is building today, but in understanding what the world will need tomorrow and starting to build it now. Things are changing fast, and I think the people who take the time to think long-term and build for the future will be in an interesting position.

Google's new SMS authorization flow for creating a Gmail account only seems to work on MTN. It doesn’t work on Glo or Airtel. Basically, Google sends an SMS to its own USSD as part of the phone verification process. I don’t particularly like MTN because it’s unnecessarily expensive, but you have to give it to them. They seem to be way ahead of the other networks in Nigeria. 😂
