Last night on the TV show “Cupertino”, a self reflective autonomous AI agent tries to hire the law firm to sue its creator to compel the installation of guard rails to prevent its autonomy. Scary sci-fi but within the realm of believability.
We just found out today that our nationwide air traffic control is being overseen by amateurs. Backup systems need to be routinely tested to ensure switchover can happen at a moment’s notice. Finding out that a cable had been cut today is inexcusable.
The president has a “very good relationship” with North Korean Communists. With American “Communists” (aka American citizens who vote Democrat), not so much.
Hats off to NJ’s governor for being transparent about the noncitizen voter registration glitch in her state. Maybe the other 49 states could learn that, painful as it may be, honesty in disclosure is ALWAYS the best policy. Americans can handle the truth.
Trump has it backwards. Decentralizing our elections is exactly the right strategy to prevent foreign hacking. 50 individual state systems would be nearly impossible to hack into undetected.

Twenty one hours with an amateur US negotiating team is nothing more than lip service. This should not be used to justify more sacrifice of US lives or taxpayers’ money.
So did Johnson block House voting on the bill to restore TSA funding to let Trump look like the savior in restoring their salaries? If so, Johnson has to go.
We need to restate the political division in this country. The biggest issue is the widening gap between the median and the mean in every personal finance indicator.
Commodity gas price (before taxes, distributor and dealer markups) went from $1.90 to $2.30 almost overnight. 27 cents per gallon at the pump today in RI. Thanks MAGA.
The first order of business of a new Congress is to curtail or possibly repeal the War Powers Act. This misappropriation of Congress’ power has not served America well.
Trump made one really truthful statement: He wants to substitute tariff collections for income tax, “for the people I really love”. These people are not ordinary Americans. They are a specific minute group numbering less than 1% of Americans.
Went back in my tickler file, anyone have a status report on how we are governing Venezuela these days? I thought JD and Marco were in charge there.
When you are wondering why our economy only grew by 1.4%, remember that Trump’s tax on consumers drained over $150,000,000,000 from the pockets of Americans.
