Find it one day
This one was sooo essential for me to get off. I think everyone knows how it feels to go thru a breakup that feels sharp and spiteful. But there’s something so subtly agonizing about ending things when neither person is bad or has done anything intentionally hurtful. Your mind keeps retracing what’s not working and clinging to what is and what u can do to fix it. This song really speaks to the eeriness of letting someone u love go into the wild, not knowing if they’ll ever find their way back to u. I can’t wait to sing this one live <3
Never Let me Go
this song has a special place in my <3
at the end is a phone call between me and my grandparents that i forgot was recorded. i originally called bc i needed help with a line for a song but they ended up doing their usual thing of asking if i’m happy, if i’m making money & telling me not to worry about calling them all the time. they are really the sweetest slice of life to me and have shown me the purest forms of love. had to put them on waxxxx <3
Babygirl
this song holds so much of what the album means for me, it’s the THUMPING heart of it.
It’s about trusting yourself enough to follow your own instincts and finding value in the parts of u that don’t always fit neatly.
@officialdoechii felt so obvious for this song because i’ve always admired how she’s leaned into exactly who she is and the world met her there. her grammy speech made me SNOT SOB 😭 love u forever doe🩷
to the girls who hear a different song in their head!! <333
