The debate in England about "fighting for your country" is bizarre. Why now? So as to avoid future particular cases I repeat now you shouldn't fight for any modern state if there's a draft. If there's prospect of draft, lie, cheat, etc. do what you can to avoid it including leaving the country. I wrote about this before as people lie about my views on war for many years
