I have seen many stories of cruelty on October 7th, but nothing as heartbreaking as this. This is the Goldstein-Almog family from Kfar Aza. On October 7th, the men of Gaza entered the family home, broke into the safe room where the family was hiding, and murdered the father, Nadav Goldstein, in front of his whole family. , The men of Gaza forced Chen, the mother of this family, and the children to step over Nadav's body as they left the safe room. Yam Goldstein, their 20-year-old daughter, fainted after seeing her murdered father, and as the mother Chen was trying to help her daughter Yam, the men of Gaza shot 20-year-old Yam in the face and killed her in her mother's arms. Chen was forced to leave her daughter's body behind and was kidnapped along with her three younger children. Agam, the eldest of the three, witnessed the murders of her father and sister and tried to help Yam when she collapsed. Tal and Gal, the two younger boys, were also forced from their home into captivity in Gaza. They were held in the most cruel and abusive conditions possible, and were returned in a hostage deal 51 days later. How can a human live with such trauma??? What kind of society carries out horrors like this???

After October 7th, over 200 bodies remained unidentified until late October 2023. 10 of those bodies were so badly burned that they had to be identified by forensic teams that included archaeologists. In some cases, like 75-year-old Bilha Yinon from Kibbutz Netiv Haasara, it took ten months to identify their remains. We will never forget what the people of Gaza did on October 7th.

If the blinkered pro-Palestine crowd want to talk about ‘genocide’, they should start with Israel’s murdered mothers and mutilated children: "You want genocide? OK, read the pathologists’ reports. A girl, around five years old, who has been shot through her body from her skull to the soles of her feet. A 12-year-old girl shot in the head and then decapitated. Teenagers who received a video on their phones of their petrified grandmother as she was about to be executed (Hamas got a kick from sharing their work). Young women at the Nova peace festival, half-naked, strung up from trees the better to defile them. Vaginas rammed with knives and bottles. Twin baby boys, their mother slaughtered in the kitchen fetching milk for them, their father riddled with bullets as he struggled to keep the door of the safe room shut; the orphaned babies used as bait for 14 hours, little Guy and Roi, 10 months old, left to scream so they would lure neighbours to rescue them and those brave souls were then picked off by the terrorists lying in wait. I stood outside that house on Kibbutz Kfar Aza imagining all too well the panic of parents unable to protect their children; the number of bodies recovered was chalked on the wall. Yes, but… Killing parents in front of their sobbing children, then setting the house on fire so those children are burnt alive and all that remains of that beautiful family is cremated remains. Can we at least agree that goes beyond the bounds of “wrong” to a place we haven’t quite got a name for? “Evil” feels too small a word. For three years, I’ve been struggling to find the words; some way, at least, of expressing what happened. Because I believe it should matter to anyone who cares about our civilisation; make no mistake, the foul fiends responsible will come for us all if we let them. “They don’t just hate Jews, Allison, they hate freedom. They hate life.” That was Meirav Gonan, who I met in Tel Aviv after her daughter Romi was abducted at the Nova festival (Romi was held hostage for 471 days in Gaza). One thing I do know: the stories of suffering are seared on my soul. Yes, but… And it was all deliberate, that carnival of cruelty. On October 7, 2023, Hamas did not just seek a military victory over the IDF soldiers at the border posts. They wanted to provoke Israel into a retaliation that would scupper any chance of an imminent peace accord with Saudi Arabia, which would thwart Iran’s ambitions in the region. So they used civilians as playthings to torture, humiliate, defile (even carrying helpful translations to instruct women to undress). Yes, but… Who can forget one of the defining images of that day’s barbarity? Twenty-two-year-old German-Israeli Shani Louk, her body chucked on the back of a flatbed truck like a sack of potatoes, her leg obscenely twisted at a right angle, one of her murderers casually resting his boot on her naked flank. That beautiful young woman was a trophy of war, her corpse paraded through Gaza to the frenzied delight of the mob. Only a splinter of Shani’s skull was ever recovered. Yes, but… Shame on every single person who marches on October 7 – they celebrate the suffering of families cremated in their own homes, of Shani Louk paraded as a spoil of war, of a mother murdered when she went to fetch milk for her babies. Roi and Guy, the twins, now four years old, are thriving. The aunt and uncle who adopted them don’t want the boys to be tragic figures. Like their country, they have to be resilient. They love life. I am not Jewish, but I believe the Jews deserve and need a homeland. I hate their enemies because they are our enemies. So that makes me a Zionist. If you have any sense of where history teaches us, this leads you should be a Zionist too. No more “Yes, buts…” Today of all days let us stand with our Jewish brothers and sisters." -Allison Pearson, The Telegraph

From the one and only @natan_sharansky: "What kind of genocide is it when the population of Gaza is larger today than it was three years ago? And how could it be that Israel is trying to kill innocents when the ratio of civilian-to-combatant casualties is lower than that of other urban wars fought in even less-difficult conditions? But the general consensus does not care about facts. What it cares about are accusatory movies that show no faces, reveal no names, and offer no verifiable information, as well as articles in major newspapers sourced entirely from terrorists who want to destroy the Jewish state. What, then, are we to do? We should first of all remember that just because the entire world believes something does not make it true." tabletmag.com/sections/news/…

IDF battlefield medicine has cut combat casualty mortality rates in half — from 15% during the 2006 Lebanon war to 7.1% during the Swords of Iron campaign — and the U.S. Army is now studying Israel's methods to overhaul its own wartime medical capabilities. The advances include placing doctors in every company, carrying blood plasma on first responders' backs in coolers, and deploying a real-time data network so every medical officer in the chain can see patient information instantly. Advanced life support that once took 15-20 minutes to reach a casualty now arrives within 4 minutes. A 78-page U.S. Army report published in April recommended American forces absorb Israel's lessons immediately, warning that 'the time for preparation is now' and that 'simply possessing clinical and tactical skills is insufficient.' foxnews.com/world/israeli-co…

Today we remember the victims of the October 7 massacre – the killing of innocent Israeli people, the torture, mutilation, rape and kidnapping, parading of the dead, the wanton cruelty and the depraved celebrations of murder, the gleeful delight in brutality, the degeneracy of its perpetrators and supporters. It is a day that stands out for its unparalleled sadism and nihilism. The scale of the killing of people of all sorts, all races, Jewish and Arab and others, is unequalled in a single day in modern times. It was the greatest murder of Jewish people since the Holocaust. Its cruelty and barbarism seem to belong to cruel times long ago – this was a lurch back to the raids and slaughters of the Mongols or the Huns - but it is unique too in its 21stcentury hi-tech modernity: it was filmed live by its perpetrators and other cameras and so unlike any other atrocity in all of human history, its details are beyond question. It is the most documented butchery and sadism ever perpetrated – and therefore the reactions to it are simply the clearest and most unequalled test of humanity available to us, reactions that will be remembered in the future. It was also a crime against peace: its effects were utterly destructive for Israelis but also for Palestinians and the innocent people across the whole region who perished in the wars it unleashed. More than that, it was an atrocity against humanity itself - and the humanist values that mark all decent people, the values of liberal, free, kind societies and communities everywhere. Its effects were utterly destructive for Israelis but also for the Palestinians and the rest of the region. Today we remember those who died, those who were wounded, those who were kidnapped, tortured, raped and killed in the tunnels of Gaza, those who lost friends and compatriots. It was a crime of annihilation to launch the liquidation of an entire people and nation, to kill and torture Israelis and Jews. Am Yisrael Chai.

Almost all of these joyful young women were so savagely butchered on October 7th by Hamas devils they were not in a fit state to be shown to their parents. A nose ring the only thing left in a face without a face. A knife all the way through a head. Genitals … you don’t want to know. If we can’t name evil when it so clearly identifies itself then who are we? Go on, march for that.

Yahav Weiner was a prominent Israeli filmmaker, He was murdered by Hamas terrorists while saving his wife, Shai Lee Atari, and their baby daughter. His grandfather Yosef Weiner, who survived the Holocaust, wrote the following heartbreaking text after October 7th: "My name is Yosef Weiner, and I am 97 years old. I escaped the flames of the Nazi beasts, but my entire family was consumed by that inferno. Ripped from my deep roots, I built a memorial from basalt stones, a tribute to those who were lost. On the verge of collapse, drowning in despair, I clung to this land and planted myself in Zion. I married Aviva, and together we raised two wonderful children, Ofer and Nurit. Ofer and Michal blessed us with four grandchildren in Kibbutz Kfar Aza. Nurit and Miki gave us six more. I watched as my family’s tree took root in the soil of our homeland and flourished. But then, without warning, on October 7th, 2023, evil struck again. The nightmare returned: fire, ash, the slaughter of innocent lives. My beloved grandson Yahav, dearest to my heart, was murdered while protecting his wife, Shay-lee, and their newborn daughter, Shaiya. My precious granddaughter Hadar, along with her husband, Itai, were also brutally murdered while shielding their 10-month-old twins, Roy and Guy. Once again, I find myself depleted, drowning in sorrow. This time, there is no earth left for me to hold on to." Yosef Weiner passed away one year later in 2024. We will never forget.

We told them to show us what they wanted… and they answered: stop ignoring the voice of the Iranian people. For many Iranians, they took to the streets in January knowing full well that it could be their last night and still chose to take a stand against the Islamic regime, because it was worth the sacrifice for them. It shouldn’t take that to get the world to wake up. @manototv’s new documentary “This is our Story” details the massacre of the Iranian people by the regime on January 8-9.

You were duped. Again. We all saw the “massive” walkout from the UN general assembly. It seemed like Bibi was talking to en empty room. Some journalists even reported that. Even some Israeli journalists made that claim. Guess what. The media lied to you. Shocked? Here are the facts. The footage is real. As Netanyahu walked up to speak, dozens of diplomats got up and left. It looks like most of the world refused to listen to him. Some even called it proof that Israel is now a pariah state. And now, reality. More than 120 countries stayed. That's nearly two-thirds of the world. All five veto powers stayed: the U.S., China, Britain and France. So did most of Europe. Even Ireland, one of Israel's toughest critics remained. So who walked out? And why does it look like so many? Each country gets six seats in this hall, so when one delegation walks out, several people stand up and walk. And the Palestinian mission had asked countries to bring as many staff as possible and walk out together. That can make a walkout bigger than the number of countries behind it. In Europe, Spain was the only major country to leave its seat empty. In Latin America, Brazil walked out. South Africa's seats were empty too. The rest were mostly small Caribbean island nations, which skip most speeches anyway. Even in the Muslim world, at least two countries, UAE and Bahrain, stayed. The walkout was real, but most of the world stayed in the room. Just thought you’d wanna know the truth.

Honored to have my research mentioned by @netanyahu in his address to the UNGA. Israel has in fact implemented more civilian harm mitigation measures (many that no nation has ever even imagined/attemped) than any military in history. The other facts in his speech were also spot on. Israel has not only implemented extraordinary precautions in urban warfare to prevent civilian harm while Hamas has done everything it can to increase civilian harm, there is no genocide, actually the opposite of genocide in Gaza, Israel provided tons of food, water, medical supplies, facilitated immunizations for the entire populations, field hospitals, built new water lines, electricity, got patients to hospitals outside of Gaza, and much more.

I am grateful to the IDF, to the medical team at Shaare Zedek who are now fighting to save the life of Neria Dov ben Chana, and for the prayers of the people of Israel. I believe in the power of prayer, and I believe that when the people of Israel unite, miracles happen. Neria needs a miracle. Neria continued to serve in the reserves after losing his older brother, Moshe Yedidya Leiter, of blessed memory. Since October 7th, he has served hundreds of days in the reserves on multiple fronts. Palestinian terrorism seeks to uproot the people of Israel from their land. They choose death - we choose life.
