I was saddened to learn today that Bill Pinkney has passed away. He was a pioneer simply by living life true to his own values - setting aside his incredible feats as a sailor.

Annapolis will host wreath-laying today to honor five-year remembrance of Capital Gazette shooting victims. The ceremony is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. at the Guardians of the First Amendment Memorial on Compromise Street.
