#Recognition | And finally.... a thank you to all of the children & young people who we’ve had the privilege of working with over the past 8 years! Hopefully one day soon we can open our doors once again! 🙏

#Volunteers | A massive thank you to all of the staff (paid or voluntary) who have contributed to the development of thousands of children & young people over the past 8 years! 👏

#Charity | Using the power of sport to help local charities as been a key theme of our anniversary celebrations. Thank you to everyone who has donated over the years! 👏

#REACTAmbassadors | Thank you to all of our Ambassadors for the support they have given over the past 8 years, helping to promote the sport of basketball and our organisation!

The next one is the famous ‘Pie A Coach’ opportunity.... our young members certainly took up the opportunity when it came around and it always seemed like Chairman @coachanderson12 was a favourite coach for selection! 😆

#Outreach | In being a shining example of the core REACT values, coaches Nick and Katie supported one of our community partners in a trio to Rwanda in 2014, helping to support a local community with a range of projects. 👏

#Partnerships | We have worked with a broad range of partners; next is @Ren_Foodbank! We’ve worked to support our local food banks across Renfrewshire who in turn support those most in need in our communities. Thank you to everyone who has donated over the years! 👏

#Partnerships | We have worked with a broad range of partners; next up is @fire_scot who have also supported our ‘timeout talks’ with valuable information for our members! 👨‍🚒

#Partnerships | We have worked with a broad range of partners; first up @policescotland who have supported our ‘timeout talks’ to raise awareness of the support they give to our local communities! 👮‍♂️👮

#RoleModels | We have worked with a number of partners to promote basketball and raise awareness of its role models to children & young people. An example of this in action was at the 2017 Summer Slam- a 12 hour youth event culminating in a top flight, female basketball match!

#REACTKitsForKids | Due to the success of the Summer League, and with support of BIG Lottery Fund, Kits for Kids was developed. A season long programme allowing our members access to free 🏀 tournaments, supported by our Young Leaders! Watch the launch; youtu.be/7yChSUctCJ0

#REACTSummerLeague | Summer 2013 saw the delivery of FREE basketball delivered to children & young people of Renfrewshire every Saturday of the school break. These 6 hour events came to a finish at the Summer League finale! 🏆

This month marks our 8th anniversary! This normally signals the beginning of a month long events schedule however like all REACT operations, this has been paused due to COVID-19. Instead we share a thread of just some of our favourite moments from the past 8 years 👇

Previously it was announced that we are to cease operations for season 2020/21, in large part due to the impact COVID-19 has had on REACT Sports. We thank the public for their incredible support shown to us. We hope to return some day. youtu.be/yeT3O5VvEUM
