🚨Today, Texas Children’s Hospital has officially launched their Detransition Clinic 🚨
Under the settlement, TCH must provide multidisciplinary detransition-related care FREE OF CHARGE for five years, including endocrinology, surgery, primary care, fertility counseling, mental health services, social work, and speech pathology.
I extend my heartfelt gratitude once again to Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton and my attorneys at the Burke Law Group for their extraordinary dedication, sacrifice, and tireless efforts throughout this fight. I think of all the detransitioners who have suffered in silence, been dismissed, and fought desperately to have their voices heard. This win is for them.

Let me make this clear as a Christian.
When you proclaim you believe Jesus is the Messiah, you must also believe He is the ONLY way and NOBODY comes to the Father except through Him. If I tell you that you need Jesus it isn’t because I hate you, it’s because I believe Jesus is the way. I won’t try to hate you into loving him.
I will call out false divisive teachings that do not hold Jesus as the only way to God and I won’t allow people to lie about and bear false witness against me, my wife, my family or the churches of Christ. If engaged respectfully, I will answer Biblical questions and even engage in respectful debate but I won’t tolerate for a moment for my beliefs to be mischaracterized and slandered. I will call it out succinctly and Biblically.

He is correct. We as Christians are losing because too many are afraid to take a stand.
You must stand for what is right and moral and Christian.
We will be ridiculed and attacked. We know this because Jesus told us this. If you want to stay comfortable then get out of the way.
The truth is that if everyone loves you then you stand for nothing.

I think the substance and doctrine of the sermon matters, not whether the pastor uses a prop vs standing rigidly behind a podium in a 3-piece suit.
People accusing @howertonjosh of using a gimmick presume to know his motives, as if they must be nefarious. Shame on you!
You may not prefer a pastor using props to illustrate a biblical point. Fine. That’s your opinion, but publicly charging a godly pastor with impure motives simply because he creatively illustrates a biblical truth we all affirm is beyond the pale!
Treating personal opinions as God’s law is what Christ rebuked in the Pharisees of His day, and it makes Christianity look foolish. You don’t represent Christ or His truth by your rebukes. Hush, you gnat-strainers! #laddergate

I understand that the social security conversation is political poison. But I’m not running for office so I don’t care about that. Taking huge chunks out of the paychecks of young working Americans in order to pay for the retirements of older Americans who have a net worth several times higher, all to prop up a system that everyone knows likely won’t be there when those younger people are retirement age themselves, is morally abhorrent and economically insane. Everyone knows it, too, but we’re held hostage by elderly politicians who refuse to surrender power, and older voters who, as a group (with exceptions, obviously), simply don’t care all that much about the financial and cultural future their grandchildren will inherit.
