People still don’t understand game development.
#StarCitizen was announced in 2012, but doesn’t mean they’ve been developing it since then.
There was scope creep, engine work, tools, R&D, refactoring, etc.
So technically, they only started making the actual game 2 months ago.
LLMs and agents are just tools, just like when we changed from making engineering designs by hand to CAD, or editing songs/albums with analog equipment to digital and software. Older methods didn’t guarantee good results either, all depends on the creator.
If you care more about how something is done vs. just how good it actually is, then you are a snob. Tired of the “AI slop” phrase overuse, there has always been crap made, even before AI. Crap is crap, made with AI assistance or not. Filter by good or bad.
I saw a RDR2 vs Crimson desert comparison video some weeks ago, they said on CD the NPCs don’t do actual work in their routines. 🤔 He even picks up the timber then goes to rest. #CrimsonDesert
I’d like some YouTube setting/filter that would remove from my feed all videos with clickbaity titles or with someone with their mouth open in the thumbnail.
I’ll say it if no one else will: anyone who feels threatened by or dismisses something just because it involves “AI” is exposing their own mediocrity or insecurity.

On Wednesday, June 18 at approximately 11 p.m. CT, the Starship preparing for the tenth flight test experienced a major anomaly while on a test stand at Starbase. A safety clear area around the site was maintained throughout the operation and all personnel are safe and accounted for.
Our Starbase team is actively working to safe the test site and the immediate surrounding area in conjunction with local officials. There are no hazards to residents in surrounding communities, and we ask that individuals do not attempt to approach the area while safing operations continue
