Hey Folks, I'm Connor. The freight guy.
I come from a family of farmers in a small town called Greer, SC. Grandma booked loads out of her office on the second floor of the truck stop before fax machines were all the rave, so I'm a 3rd generation broker. Spent 12 years in it. Started in track and trace as a summer job, scaled an agency from 15 to 130 million, ran the floor then ran the systems. Now I build AI for brokerages because I lived every problem it fixes.
Jesus, my wife, three kids & one on the way, a @cybertruck, and a memoir I'm slow to finish. Recovering addict, clean since 2014. Anything you read here in past tense is from before that.
I post about freight, building, and how I got here. In that order, most days.
Thank God I can work on my phone the same way I can my computer. Probably took an hour longer than it should’ve to get a contract done but it was worth it to have them crawling all over me and playing while I was doing it.
My wife is an amazing mom. Three on the swings, number 4 coming in less than 2 weeks. Couldn't do any of this without her.

It's time to build. x.ai/startups
Whatever you’re going through right now, it’s happening on purpose.
IF YOU QUIT YOU WILL NEVER GET TO BE THE PERSON YOU WERE CREATED TO BE.

Customers don't leave in the month they leave.
Volume dips. Cadence slips. A lane quietly moves. Margin erodes. Eight months later the RFP arrives and the only variable left is price.
Every one of those months left a trace in your TMS. Nobody was reading them.
I've moved freight longer than some of the people arguing with me about freight have been in business. not saying that to flex. saying it because I've watched three of these cycles and they all rhyme
There's no better person to build the AI platform for freight brokers.
I say that with confidence oozing out of me.
My granny was a broker. My dad was a broker. I was a broker.
This is in my blood. @FreightScoutai
Every floor has that one carrier rep who talks Cowboys football for five minutes before he ever says the word load.
And every manager has stood behind him watching 40 loads sit uncovered thinking, dude, come on.
Then you pull his numbers. Same carriers every week.
Better rates. Trucks actually show up. Dispatchers call him first when a truck opens up in Dallas. None of that shows up on a rate sheet, but it's literally why he wins.
Most reps don't have time for that with 40 loads to cover.
So when we built how @FreightScoutai Cover Agent calls carriers who already run for you, that was the first thing I wanted in it.
It knows who hauled the lane, how it went, the driver's name, and yeah, that the dispatcher is a Cowboys fan. It catches up first. Then it pitches the load, negotiates inside your max pay, books it and sends the rate con.
Sound on. Mike's still not over the fourth quarter.
