Imagine you are on a spaceship. You are headed to another planet to repopulate after Earth has been destroyed. Because repopulation is the goal, there are many children. They outnumber adults 3 to 1. The journey is long, and space is tight, so there must be a lot of entertainment. At some point, the children are shown a cartoon depicting people dancing together on the surface of a star. It's a hit, and soon, all the children want to go dance on a star as well. Because of the small space, the children influence each other quickly, and soon, they are all emotionally distraught. They want you to steer the ship towards the nearest star so they can all get out and dance. They will not take no for an answer. Would you obey the children and steer the ship into a crash course with a gigantic ball of 20,000 degree nuclear activity? This post is not about spaceships or children or stars.
