Holy hell. Abdul El-Sayed just ended Trump's name calling game.
He turned the insult around, Saudis, Qataris, jet and all, and closed it himself.
"Call me Senator after November."
because americans are uniquely conditioned to shun foreign cultures and most of our people barely read anything at all. of course we're not a poetic people.

things never get better. the issues that drive you away, that you implicitly recognize are incompatible with the life you want, won't change within your life. save yourself the stress and abandon the idea.

The Turkish diaspora in the US has also been quite liberal, consistently Kemalist for decades now, though that has been changing in recent decades, particularly in parts of Jersey and Long Island

Brezilya’da son TV tartışmasında Flávio Bolsonaro, Lula’ya “dokuz parmaklı” deyince ortalık karıştı
🔺Lula:
“17 yaşında, çalışmamam gereken gece vardiyasında çalışırken parmağımı kaybettim. Ya çalışacaktım ya aç kalacaktım. Sen hayatında hiç çalışmadın. İlk işin babanın yanında sahte bir işti. Bir milisin bana ‘dokuz parmaklı’ demesine izin vermeyeceğim. Özür dilemek zorundasın!”
🔺Lula’nın “milis” sözü, Bolsonaro ailesinin Brezilya’daki polis bağlantılı suç örgütleriyle ilişkili olduğu iddialarına gönderme.
🔺Flávio Bolsonaro tartışmanın ardından özür diledi.

Customers at Neshaminy Mall observing the "Freedom Wall", consisting of seven mechanical dioramas installed in the wall outside of Strawbridge & Clothier, in 1968. These animatronic displays depicted historical events which took place in the Philadelphia area, mainly during the American Revolution. These displays featured moving papier-mâché figures in glass boxes, with audio narrations. After the S & C store closed in 2006, the dioramas no longer operated, but they remained on display.
The events depicted by the dioramas included: General George Washington with his troops; Washington crossing the Delaware River in Bucks County; the Battle of Germantown; the signing of the Declaration of Independence; William Penn buying land from Native Americans; Ben Franklin gaining French support for early America; and the 1777 evacuation of the Liberty Bell.
