🧵THREAD:
The most overlooked aspect of a United Ireland isn't flags, identity or even healthcare.
It's jobs!
Hundreds of thousands of people have built careers around Northern Ireland's place in the UK.
What happens to those careers?

Bloody Friday (Part 2)
The rescuers’ accounts of Bloody Friday are harrowing: shovelling human remains (Catholics and Protestants), carrying the dead and knowing each was somebody’s loved one.
Then comes the account at the end. A witness describes people in the Markets area reacting to the explosions:
“Every time a bomb went off, they cheered and shouted and yelled.”
They LAUGHED....
While others rushed to save lives, they celebrated the bombs. An appalling contrast between human compassion and support for IRA terror.
The indiscriminate murder of innocent Catholics and Protestants...
Our First Minister "for all" told us there was no alternative...😢

December 2006 Goal of the Month nominations. You genuinely had to score a Puskás contender just to get nominated.

25 years since the RUC evolved into the @PoliceServiceNI, I remember with pride those who served, suffered and never came home. It was my privilege to serve in both. The PSNI stands on foundations built through immense sacrifice by RUC officers and their families. We owe them so much.

Ulster Unionist Party leader Jon Burrows MLA has hit back at Sinn Féin after North Antrim MLA Philip McGuigan spoke in the Assembly on Tuesday to accuse him of a “supremacist attitude”.
Jon Burrows said:
“Philip McGuigan read out a scripted attack on me in the Assembly this morning. He wants to talk about the past. Then let’s talk about all of it. Republican paramilitaries murdered more than 2,000 people during the Troubles. Across Northern Ireland there are families who still sit down to dinner with an empty chair at the table. In the video he posted today, Mr McGuigan had plenty to say about history and not one word for them.
“Yes, I am uncomfortable that so many people vote for a party whose leader still says there was ‘no alternative’ to the IRA’s terror campaign. I make no apology for that. Being uncomfortable with a result is not the same as rejecting it. I accept it, and I intend to change it at the ballot box. That’s what elections are for.
“What I will not accept is being called a supremacist by Sinn Féin. No one in Northern Ireland is a second class citizen. Disagreeing with Sinn Féin does not mean disrespecting the people who vote for them.
“I believe every murder was wrong, whether committed by republicans, loyalists or anyone else. No one deserved to die because of their religion or their job. Sinn Féin say they are sorry for every life lost. Sorry is not the same as wrong. Until they can say that every murder was wrong, without exception, they are in no position to lecture anyone on equality.
“No amount of name calling can hide Sinn Féin’s record in government. They run Infrastructure, Finance and the Economy. People want roads repaired, wastewater fixed and public services that work. Scurrilous accusations deliver none of those things.
“I will serve everyone in North Antrim, and the Ulster Unionist Party will stand up for people right across Northern Ireland. Sectarianism, racism and hatred are the opposite of patriotism.
“I’ll take no lectures from Sinn Féin on democracy, on equality or on the past. Everyone deserves equal respect, and far better government than this.”

“Protestants doing something good for once” is an outrageous statement. Loathsome.

Ah! My Member of Parliament who refuses to sit in the House he’s elected to, complaining about others not being able to attend an event.
No one has inflicted economic sabotage on the people of this place more than the Shinners.
Sinn Fein MP @johnfinucane said the @duponline is inflicting economic sabotage by preventing FM Michelle O’Neill and dFM Emma Little-Pengelly from attending an economic event in Glasgow with the UK PM Andy Burnham today.
Weaponising the word "supremacist" against Unionists is a lazy attempt to delegitimise an entire community.
Advocating for the Union and our heritage within a democratic framework may not be liked by some, but it’s a legitimate position, not an attempt to dominate anyone.

SF most famous words " the days of people being treated like second class citizens are over " them days where over decades ago , the party itself uses this line over and over again for sympathy votes because of our troubled past , tell me in the year 2026 what rights I a protestant have that my catholic neighbours hasnt got ? It's getting old boring and causes tensions in the younger generations as the youth listening to this nonsense will think they are treated unfairly when it's a fact they are not !
Sinn fein + 5 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Been absolutely useless all year with multiple failures but blocked 30 old blokes down a road illegally after failing to defeat **checks notes** jamie fucking bryson in court.
The mindset of sinn fein voters absolutely baffles me. 🤣

Deirdre Hargey claims she & 70 others were in all in a tiny toilet when Robert McCartney was killed. Now there’s questions about other SF politicians and the circumstances surrounding this murder. How can Nationalists vote for SF? Is this really your values & morals?

I hope unionists are as enthusiastic about voting at the next election as they are about turning up to protests wearing an orange sash. Time will tell.
