Katie. I’m gonna be honest I’m basically over the whole vaccine scare shit. It’s been 5+ years since Covid mania ended and everyone got vaxxed (I didn’t fwiw) and no one died on mass.
I never liked the Covid vaccine because it was rushed and obviously didn’t go through proper safety and testing protocols. But this shit is over and I’m tired of seeing it on my timeline.
Meshutefet and Ra'am have a historical percentage of the Knesset, and the dems will be in power in the US for the foreseeable future.
In theory, there is enough collective political power to advance some kind of peace deal from the US perspective and from the agitation of Arab parties.
The question: Is there enough will on behalf of the ruling coalition to move the needle a bit more towards peace, even if not explicitly a resumption of Oslo?
What exactly is El Sayed going to do? Is he going to make Jews wear yellow stars? Encourage pogroms in Oak Park? What will he do already?
What did Mamdani do?
What did Obama do?
He's anti-Israel (allegedly), but the a priori assumption of Zionism (and political Judaism) is that any opposition is malicious opposition.
I have become so Latinx that I started randomly dancing in my chair and singing along to lloraras and la negra tiene tumbao. Not sure if my guest appreciated it.
This wasn't a Latinx area, they just had it playing randomly.
The Druze are effectively dhimmies until they wise up to the fact that they are at best almost-equal to Jews in the state and their enthusiasm will wane. The state for the most part, with the exception of Lieberman’s faction, treats them as useful idiots and mercenaries.
I think Zionism and Israel could have had a future if they put themselves in the mindset of peace and brotherhood with not only the people around them, but also their culture, language, religion, and so on. There were/are some groups that are willing to embrace this and have embraced it, but they are so few and far between as to be completely irrelevant.
Today this attitude of egalitarianism and tolerance is more emblematic of Palestine and a future/prospective Palestinian state, though from their perspective, many if not most of the Israeli population has overstayed their welcome, and I would be hard pressed to provide a good argument as to why they’re wrong.
The Jews today have all the material capacity to have a people with honor, that is to say, brave, willing to fight, willing to be truthful, willing to acknowledge brotherhood with other nations, willing to perform their own labor, willing to express and embody ideals that stand for something objective.
Zionism, which some of its originators thought would propel Jews towards that goal, has not only failed to achieve it, but is also a smoke-and-mirrors excuse to why they have not done so.

Judaism as a religion teaches political fatalism and communal essentialism.
Free will and agency happen in the communal-personal sphere (i.e. keeping the commandments) only, and it has no civilizational vision other than that which is promised in the Torah through the observance of Mitzvot.
When someone defines Judaism as the impetus or inspiration for his political vision, he is lying to you, it’s a way of saying he believes in nothing at all except that which serves his immediate interests, and this is because Judaism is not a political religion.

Virtually no Jews in Germany took up arms against Nazism. Do you think Jews are "born slaves"?
What Muslim country has come to the defense of Gaza? Iran is less than 5% of world Muslim population.
"What is the relationship between Islam and Zionism?"

No, but one must show that their opposition is principled and not try to go on this whole “Zionism isn’t REAL JUDAISM” schtick.
It makes sense if the person is e.g. a Satmar Hasid, but barring that, you can’t make being Jewish your main political identity while simultaneously supporting Palestine, because modern Jewish political identity is downstream of Zionism and suffer from the same ideological larpy-supremacist poison.

So anti-Zionist Jews don’t exist because none of them have resorted to lethal violence?
Does a Jew have to kill in order to establish that he or she is anti-Zionist?
Benjamin Moser is an anti-Zionist Jew and he understands that his words are more powerful than bullets.

Leading rabbonim addressed seminary girls at a Keren Olam HaTorah event in London from behind a one-way mirror: the girls could see them, while the rabbonim saw only a mirror.
I'm very happy with Spotify's algorithm lately. Finally, someone understands what I like in Music, and it's Spotify's AI
You can dislike Zionism and Judaism without trying to offer a reflexive heckin' shtetl chungus yiddish alternative

For non-Israeli followers, who do you think voted the most for Ben Gvir in the recent elections? The answer might surprise you
I upgraded from Sequoia to Golden Gate on my M1 Max, and honestly, everything surprisingly got faster with better battery life.
Likely that dropping support from Intel allowed Apple to make tighter design decisions and hardware-software coupling.
This character is genius and right to the point. I would say that "leftist" and "antizionist jews" suffer from an even more accute and extreme case of ethnonarcissism than genocidal kahanists.
But gradually as more of the leftists and libs become kahanists (because they never truly believed anything anyway), we truly end up getting the worst of both worlds in political discourse.
