Multiple students at an Ayurveda Medical College fell ill and they were shifted to a real hospital for diagnosis and treatment.
But these are the same practitioners who call themselves "doctors" and are even allowed to perform laparoscopic surgery in India after masters degree in Ayurveda. Who's playing whom? Govt. playing the students or Ayurveda "doctors" playing the public?

It was such a peaceful movement, feel so sad that it had to take a violent turn. My heart goes out to the students and their families who were hurt. Paper leak is a very serious issue, and I am glad to know n see that the kids of our country have come together for a better educational system, and their parents supported them.
I truly appreciate the stand they have taken, showing dedication, sincerity, and keenness to study hard n make their future and a greater, educated India. This andolan, this protest, is the right way to go abt it, n the students have done this peacefully. So courageous and brave. Driven and motivated towards education, this generation will make India proud.
This issue is between the students and the educational system, it should not be hijacked politically, the credit should only go to the students of our country, and I am sure the government will also give them all the support n make it a stronger educational system. It’s a win-win situation. Hoping n praying for a positive decision. God bless all of you who wanna be educated.
Education should be the next trend and fashion, and should get trendier n more fashionable yr by yr, itna k bahar se log come to India to study and India becomes an educational hub.

"Politicians and diapers must be changed often, and for the same reason."
LoP Shri @RahulGandhi and @INCIndia continue to shamelessly exploit students as political tools to manufacture disruption during the Monsoon Session of Parliament.
Shri @RahulGandhi and @INCIndia chose to stage a dharna outside the Hon'ble Prime Minister's residence , causing inconvenience to the public and disregarding established security protocols.
Even after Government conveyed its readiness for a comprehensive discussion, the Congress chose political spectacle over democratic debate. Their objective was never solutions for students, it was disruption for political headlines
For Rahul Gandhi, this is not about students. This is about manufacturing confrontation after every genuine avenue for discussion has been opened.
Our Government remains 100% committed to discussing NEET and addressing every genuine concern of our youth on the floor of the House. The students of India deserve far better than being treated as props in a political campaign. They deserve certainty over chaos, solutions over slogans and responsibility over disruption.
We owe our students more than outrage. We owe them answers, reforms and accountability. That is exactly what our government remains committed to delivering.

And by meeting many talented members of independent media in India, I am very confident the will is there. Even knowing what’s at stake.
However the media economy in India is under financial pressure. If you want more reporting that is not funded by the billionaire class, supporting independent news has never been more important.
Replying to @HelleLyngSvends
We in India needs to restore our freedom of the press. And for this good journalists from India have a big role to play. Our media literacy among the people is poor. To increase that and awakenbthe people, Good Journalists need to come out and work to increase this media literacy by assuring the people that they both(good Journalists and the people who seek objective news and independent comment/views ) are on the same page.🙏

The Indian government awarded, Padmasree winning herbalist quack's account with 2 million followers has been suspended in India to prevent public health danger. This is how it should be. Fight against quackery.
A Government awarded (Padmasri) herbalist quack is "challenging me" because I exposed her "herbal cures" scam.
Here is her video link (also below): instagram.com/reel/DaBFDH7xx… and here is mine exposing her: instagram.com/p/DZjZ4eGAe3V/
I am ready to sit at a table right across her on National TV for a LIVE debate (not online, but in person) and expose her quackery. If any media wants to do it, they can and I will comply and travel to any city. But it will be just me and her. No moderator. Just the broadcast and camera crew and the public watching us LIVE.

With all the forced pseudoscience projects with questionable outcomes emerging from Indian Institutes of Technology across India, degrading decades of scientific credibility, mostly from political and religio-cultural agenda from the BJP and the Ministry of Ayush, this is a timely piece. Never before seen kind of "secret war" for those who really love this nation. Science community in India needs to be stronger than ever and come together to fight this spreading blight and growing rot. The hapless public deserve our candles in the dark.

THIS IS IMPORTANT. I NEED YOUR HELP.
Dear friends with access to research paper databases. I have a favor to ask of you.
The Government of India has used public funds (tax payers money) from the Department of Science, Biotechnology and Ayush Ministry for running the SUTRA-PIC (Scientific Utilization Through Research Augmentation-Prime Products from Indigenous Cows) program which claims focus on the scientific validation and commercialization of indigenous cow breeds and their byproducts (like milk, urine, and dung). They have claimed to have published scientific evidence from this cow program as per this article: theprint.in/feature/modi-gov…
We know that one such paper from IIT-Roorke under the SUTRA-PIC program that was recently in the limelight had serious concerns of scientific integrity and fraud and a post publication review has been officially asked for: teapawt.org/theliverdoc/status/206…
This is where I need your help. If you have the access, please source the full published papers that were part of the SUTRA-PIC program and kindly send me the full paper + supplementary documents to my email address - theliverdr(at)gmail(dot)com
My team would like to do an extensive and exhaustive post publication peer review on these papers to understand if there are consequences of public fund wastage on such programs. We need to stop "positive outcomes" fraud pseudoscience papers from infiltrating good scientific sources.
Thanks in advance!
For the kind attention of the public please!
All through the night, I performed a post publication peer review of this IIT Roorke paper that claimed that it identified chemical components in cow urine that could highly efectively kill Chikungunya virus in lab conditions.
pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/acs…
There are serious concerns in the paper that mandate post publication Editorial Review from the Journal and Publication Integrity Office, and need for validation of findings... that could mandate a retraction as per COPE Guidelines. A document with all concerns explained has been emailed to:
🟡Professor (Dr) Thomas F. Hofmann

ACS Agricultural Science & Technology
🟡Copy to: Publication Integrity Office
ACS Publications, American Chemical Society
🟡Copy to: Professor (Dr) Laura McConnell
Deputy Editor, ACS Agricultural Science & Technology
🟡Copy to:William King, The Managing Editor American Chemical Society
A lay summary of major concerns are provided below:
🔴Possible areas of data fabrication, manipulation, and internal contradictions in the study claiming antiviral activity of cow urine distillate (CUD).
🔴Identical efficacy values reported for different experimental conditions, suggesting possible data duplication or carryover.
🔴Methodological flaws, including testing at cytotoxic concentrations, invalidating antiviral claims.
🔴Manipulation of synergy thresholds, using non-standard cut-offs to falsely claim synergism.
🔴Inconsistent and contradictory GC–MS datasets, with discrepancies in metabolite identification and absent compounds.
🔴Identification of synthetic pharmaceuticals, such as medroxyprogesterone, as natural metabolites, indicating contamination or misreporting.
🔴Implausible detection of prostaglandin A1, which is unstable and unlikely to survive high-temperature distillation.
🔴Lack of direct evidence linking identified metabolites to antiviral effects, with concentrations in CUD unverified.
🔴Cytotoxicity confounding viral inhibition results, with host cell death possibly causing false positives.
🔴Weak in silico and biochemical data, with docking scores and enzyme inhibition results unreliable.
🔴Structural inaccuracies in molecular docking, such as improbable hydrogen bonds.
🔴Statistical and analytical misrepresentations, including inappropriate synergy thresholds and wide variability without proper significance testing.
🔴Undeclared conflicts of interest, as funding sources and author affiliations favor traditional and cow-derived products.
🔴Numerous inconsistencies across figures and tables, including contradictory retention times and unlabelled peaks, undermining data credibility.
Requesting for action from the Journal
@ACSPublications @AmerChemSociety @ACSReactions
➡️Initiate an editorial review under ACS and COPE guidelines.
➡️Obtain raw data: plaque counts, cell viability, GC–MS spectra, and metabolite quantification.Verify compound identifications and concentrations with independent analysis.
➡️Reassess the validity of the claimed antiviral mechanism based on verified data.
➡️Reevaluate synergy analyses using standard criteria.
➡️Consider issuing an Expression of Concern pending investigation.
➡️If unresolved, proceed with retraction to protect scientific integrity and public health.

On the very day the world marks Desertification and Drought Day, a tourist drove a car straight into Pangong Tso at Merak.
Let that sink in.
This isn’t “adventure.” It’s vandalism. Pangong sits above 4,300m in the Changthang, a cold-desert wetland that took millennia to find its balance, home to Changpa herders, migratory birds, and an ecosystem that does not forgive tyre tracks, oil, and disturbance. What’s a 10-second reel to someone from outside is a wound to a place thousands depend on for their livelihood and millions hold sacred.
And please spare us the apology. Just days ago another tourist filmed himself creating a nuisance in Changthang, then said sorry, said he “didn’t know.” We don’t need your sorry. Sorry doesn’t un-pollute a lake. Sorry doesn’t undo tyre tracks on land that takes decades to recover. “I didn’t know” is not an excuse here, it’s the whole problem. If you don’t know, you find out before you come, not after the reel goes viral.
Ladakh does not need more tourists. It needs better ones, visitors who arrive with curiosity and a conscience and leave no trace, not people who treat a fragile lake as a film set. “Reel it, feel it” should never mean ruin it. @DGP_Ladakh, sir please act. Enforced no-vehicle zones along the shoreline, penalties that actually deter, and a tourism model built on carrying capacity, not crowd counts. Carrying capacity isn’t anti-tourism. It’s the only way tourism survives here at all.
Ladakh matters to me. I’d like it to matter to those who visit, too.

This could be very serious issues for tourists who have altitude issues. Such things need to bring in a systematic manner for safe & smooth travel for all.
