I genuinely believe every server that wipes besides thursday has hurt rust.
Players don't get revenge anymore, they hop.
- Get raided?
- Struggle to get loot?
- Annoying neighbours?
- lost too many weapons?
Rather than fighting against the struggle, they go to a Friday wipe.
Pair this with a more casual rust, easier loot than ever before and it's no wonder so many weekly servers die after the first day or two.
I love rust, I hope it stays around a long time. I'm just sad I can't build stories or connections with anyone because they are never around the next day.

I'm putting 10 Rust creators on an island 😳
Anything we farm on this island gives us random items. After 1 hour of randomly farming and trying to build a base, we'll pvp and eliminate each other
Streaming live tomorrow. 5pm EST 🫡
Heavy pot abuse has gotten rediculous.
- Every raid? full heavy
- Cargo? Full heavy
- Peaking a fight in a random field? Heavy helm
I appreciate the sound nerfs, but honestly.
Make it lootable only and non repairable.
Players will abuse the fk out of metas until it can't be.
Why is this an issue. If you repeatedly refund games, especially with playtime. You should have your *no questions asked* refund privileges suspended.
Shouldn't be that hard to implement and just give people a disclaimer on checkout.
This should not be possible @Steam
Would be cool if you could finally do something about your refund policy... Got dozens of reviews like that and 21% refund rate even though the Reviews are 90% very positive...
Thats over 55,000 Refunds btw...
Gotta say after day 1 of apt complex. Def a unique experience that captures some of the spirit of player built hotels
-Solos teaming up, adding eachother on discord.
-Roleplay between apts, disputes over shops, so many phone calls
-Way more players than expected, most of whom socializing with neighbours
-Raiding apts is fun and interesting
-Still have my apt
For high pop official, it's good to see people just having fun gaming and not stressing about "oh i gotta get ak right away"
I hope it keeps up, and there are a few things I do hope come to the complex, but that's a different discussion
I've seen a couple people mention apt complex would make so much more sense combined with outpost, and I agree.
Currently it's a lot of empty space.
- Red is just an outer facade
- Yellow is just a first floor with nothing in it
- Green is the actual rentable apts.
I know it's to give new players and potentially solos a way to secure a start. As someone who most of my hours are solo, I can appreciate it.
Just feels like It could be so much more for how big it is.
Hoping this is just the start of it and it will evolve over time.
