If you’re curious why there’s no #sixseasonsandamovie yet, save poor @communiess some effort and listen around the 25:00 mark. Also: the “where are they now?” segment of this ep was a bit boring to write, but it’s hard not to feel proud of the cast. 🎧: podcasts.apple.com/us/podcas…

If you love reports and rumors, this is the pod for you. Some episodes of TSOC are narrative-heavy, but RE-LISTEN: 2014 is closer to the opposite: a definitive timeline of @CommunityTV’s cancellation and revival. 🍎: podcasts.apple.com/us/podcas… 🎧: storyofcommunity.wordpress.c…

RE-LISTEN: 2013–This episode was particularly fun to sleuth, especially when I was trying to figure out who knew about Dan returning when. Maybe I should become an investigative reporter. 🍎: podcasts.apple.com/us/podcas… 🎧: storyofcommunity.wordpress.c…

RE-LISTEN: 2012 — did you know @CommunityTV’s 4th season was originally slated to air on Fridays with Whitney? Also, it wasn’t just Dan Harmon and Chevy Chase who left after season 3. 🍎: podcasts.apple.com/us/podcas… 🎧: storyofcommunity.wordpress.c…

Do you know when #sixseasonsandamovie first appeared? Find out on this episode of TSOC! Another takeaway from RE-LISTEN: 2011–this Dan Harmon pseudo-therapy session with @emilyvdw is a must-read: avclub.com/dan-harmon-walks-… 🍎 podcasts.apple.com/us/podcas… 🎧 storyofcommunity.wordpress.c…

This was probably my favorite episode to make, here’s some other things you’ll learn: — how to read @nielsen ratings — which ratings networks use — the highest rated episode of TV ever (60.2 rating/77 share!) — how freaking huge American Idol was while it competed with Community

If you’ve ever wondered why @CommunityTV struggled with ratings, consider this: even Dan Harmon’s mom didn’t watch the show live during season 2 because of its competition. All about ratings in RE-LISTEN: 2010 🍎: podcasts.apple.com/us/podcas… 🎧: storyofcommunity.wordpress.c…

RE-LISTEN: 2009 (pre-S1) Wanna know where the cast, crew, & NBC was before @CommunityTV? Even though I wrote the damn thing, I was still surprised by some of the facts I heard—did you know @joelmchale has a tie to @BillNye? 🍎 podcasts.apple.com/us/podcas… 🎧 storyofcommunity.wordpress.c…

RE-LISTEN: The Trailer Make your trailer 1 minute or less, they said. Well, I made it 3 minutes. Whoops. Also, I scored all of the interstitial music for the podcast—while I’m not saying it’s any good, I’m not *not* proud of it. 🎧 storyofcommunity.wordpress.c…

Hello everyone! For the The Story of Community’s one-year anniversary, I’ll be doing a RE-LISTEN of the podcast on the original release dates and giving my comments on each episode. I’d love for you all to join me! ⏰ The next 8 Wednesdays 🎧 storyofcommunity.wordpress.c…

Did you know that 10 years ago today, while @CommunityTV was in the middle of its season 3 benching, the show made an in-character ad that reminded you to #SaveGreendale? #SourcesOfCommunity youtube.com/watch?v=xAVR6Ps8…

Here’s an interesting #SourcesOfCommunity: 11 years ago this week (mid-season 2), FOX moved American Idol into Community's time slot. That summer, CBS had moved The Big Bang Theory there. So, uh, ratings were not going to be great. web.archive.org/web/20101123…

Happy October 19th! If you’re not quite caught up on the backstory behind this day, you can check out the 21-minute mark of episode 4 of my podcast! podcasts.apple.com/us/podcas… Also, here’s where this screencap is from: youtube.com/watch?v=rfe91Ah4…

#OTD 11 years ago, before the season 2 premiere, the #Community characters interacted on real-life Twitter in a “Twittersode.” (I'm surprised this isn’t talked about more among the Community fanbase. It's, like, really adorable.) #SourcesOfCommunity web.archive.org/web/20110530…
