Checking your PnL every 20 minutes is quietly destroying your trades. I used to check my PnL every 20–30 minutes when I had open positions. At the time it felt like I was staying on top of the trade. In reality, it made me exit good positions earlier than I should have on more than one occasion. When you watch the number move frequently, small fluctuations start to feel like signals. You gradually stop following the original thesis and begin reacting to short-term noise instead. I’ve caught myself doing this multiple times. The trades that performed better were usually the ones where I checked less often and gave the position more room to play out. I’m still working on this. Reducing how often I look is harder than it sounds once a position is live. How often do you check your open positions? #TradingSignals

1. Most people in crypto don’t lose money because they lack information. They lose money because of how they behave when the information is still incomplete. I’ve done both of these mistakes more than once.

3. The second one is anchoring to volume instead of real cost. This week on Arcus I did 108k volume and got 11.5 points. On paper it looked fine. After adding $22 in fees and an $8 loss, the real cost came to about $2.60 per point. Higher than I wanted. I used to ignore this and just look at the volume number. It feels productive until you actually calculate what it cost you. still points are easy to farm app.arcus.xyz/ref/CRYPTOHOLI

4. Both of these are behavioral. Waiting for confirmation feels safer in the moment. Chasing volume feels productive. Neither one always works out the way it looks on the surface. I’m still trying to get better at noticing when I’m waiting for social proof instead of making a decision. What’s one behavioral mistake you’ve caught yourself making more than once? #CryptoCommunity #CryptoTrading

This week on @arcus_xyz I did 108k volume. Got 11.5 points. Fees were $22. Lost $8 on the trades. So it came to around $2.60 per point. Higher than I wanted. I’ve been trying to keep the cost lower by doing real volume instead of bots. This week the fees and the small loss just pushed it up. Not the worst I’ve seen, but not cheap either. Most people only show the volume or the points. They don’t show what it actually cost them after fees and PnL. Once you add those, the number looks different. I’m still farming it, but if the cost stays this high next week I’ll just reduce size instead of forcing more volume. If you’re farming Arcus or any other points platform, what’s your real cost per point this week? any tips for maximize point allocation ?

My first trade on Entropy was on August 23. Back then open interest was still under $ 6-7M. Most people either ignored it or said it was too early. Now, more than 2 months later, it has crossed $100M in open interest. A lot of that is coming from pre-IPO markets like Anthropic. People are holding positions, not just farming volume and leaving. What’s interesting is that many of the bigger Hyperliquid airdrop farmers are already active there. A lot of the people who got the largest allocations from Hyperliquid have been trading on Entropy continuously instead of waiting. I’ve seen this pattern before. The ones who show up when the numbers are still small usually end up better positioned than the ones who wait until everyone is talking about it. Still early in the sense that most people haven’t started paying attention yet. But the OI growth is real. If you’re still waiting- pro.entropy.io/?r=pixelcoder…

TxFlow has something running for the Ren community that’s hard to ignore if you’re already trading there. They’re giving a 10% deposit reward, up to $100. The best part is that this $100 can be used fully as trading fees. That basically means you can do around 300k in volume without paying the fees yourself, and you still earn points on that volume. In simple terms, you’re getting free volume + points for this week. Most people are used to paying for volume. This is the opposite. The total pool is capped at $3000 only. Once it’s filled, it’s gone. These kinds of limited rewards usually move fast once people notice them. If you’re already active on TxFlow, there’s no strong reason to skip this. Just deposit, use the reward as fees, and farm the points while it lasts. Claim it before the $3000 limit is fully used up. app.txflow.com/campaign/firs…

Happy 18th birthday bitcoin @Bitcoin
1. In 5 days it will be October 31. Most people will treat it like any other day. But on October 31, 2008, an anonymous person dropped a 9-page PDF on a cryptography mailing list and changed money forever. That document is the @Bitcoin whitepaper. Everything that exists in crypto today started there. #Bitcoin #BTC #CryptoNews

2 months ago my father told me silver is down almost 40% from the top and we should buy some. I’d been watching the XAG chart since June. I don’t know charts that well, but I kept telling him not to buy just because it looked cheaper. He got angry twice and asked why I kept stopping him. The shopkeeper was telling him it’s very cheap now. I said I know it’s down 40%, but it’s still up more than 100% from last year. That doesn’t look cheap to me. Better to wait. 4 days ago he told me again. I said no again. He said you know nothing and the seller knows better because he’s been doing this for 50 years. In those 4 days it dropped almost another 10%. Silver is now more than 55% down from its high in the last 8 months. I still don’t know if this is the time or not. I’m not buying until crude oil stops running. What’s your view - should I buy some silver now or still wait on my own read? ethereum:0x123ffe0a3c62878dcbee2742227dc8990058d9e1 robinhood:0x117cc2133c37b721f49de2a7a74833232b3b4c0c

Early perp farmers, stop using bots for volume. You’re doing it because you think you’re being smart and efficient. You’re not. In most cases you’re just paying fees for volume that projects will discount or ignore. Projects are tracking open interest and real activity now. They’re not stupid. 1M in bot volume is paying worse than 100-200k of actual trading in a lot of these campaigns. People keep finding this out the hard way after the points drop. I’ve watched this happen multiple times. The volume looks good until rewards come out and the people who actually used the platform get more than the ones who farmed with bots. If you’re still early, just trade normally. The bot route looks clever until the numbers don’t match what you expected. Arcus: app.arcus.xyz/ref/CRYPTOHOLI Entropy (60% fee rebate): entropy.io/?r=pixelcoder2… I am saying all of these from my personal experience. Are you still running bots or have you stopped

1. Most people in crypto don’t lose money because they lack information. They lose money because they trust the wrong people at the wrong time. One of the most expensive lessons isn’t a bad trade itself. It is placing too much weight on people who sound highly confident. Following strong opinions has led to losses. Ignoring them has led to gains. Both have occurred more than once. Losses from confident takes tend to be more costly because they feel like the rational decision at the time.

4. Opinions are abundant. Filtering them is not. The real difficulty is distinguishing views worth considering from noise that only appears confident. In most cases, this distinction only becomes clear after the outcome is already known.

5. This remains an ongoing process. Going against widely held views has produced gains on several occasions. Trusting strongly expressed opinions has produced avoidable losses on others. Both experiences have been useful, though the losses have been more instructive. What is one instance where going against the consensus worked in your favor?

A lot of people were saying not to apply for the Jio IPO. Some were confident there wouldn’t be any listing gains. I applied anyway. Got the allotment and sold everything in the grey market before listing. Made a decent profit. This isn’t the first time I’ve ignored the loudest opinions on X and still done fine. You don’t have to listen to everyone who sounds sure about something. Most of the time they’re just guessing with confidence. Still learning this the hard way.
Don't Subscribe to the Jio IPO! I don't expect any listing gains. You might regret applying for this IPO. बाकी आपकी मर्ज़ी! 💀
