Ten years ago today.
In just the last few days: Trump made a deal for the U.S. to buy Russian diesel, an economic lifeline for Putin; he and Elon Musk blamed each other for an order that slowed down Starlink satellite connectivity over Ukraine, hampering the country's defenses during a devastating Russian attack; and Trump waived sanctions on Russia that Congress, led by his late friend Lindsey Graham, had pushed for.
Now, Putin has proposed a summit with Trump and Xi to decide Ukraine’s fate for them, bulldoze a century of international cooperation, and frame Russia as an equal to the U.S. and China.
We’ll see if Putin’s puppet continues to dance on his strings.

Another 330M FT from the unallocated supply has been burned.
This burn permanently removes tokens that were already non-circulating, leaving circulating supply unchanged. It is separate from the protocol’s open-market buybacks.
Cumulative burns have now reduced total FT supply from the initial 10B to approximately 520M, with only around 30M FT remaining unallocated.

Andre Cronje’s (@AndreCronjeTech) Flying Tulip (@flyingtulip_) has introduced a circuit breaker mechanism for DeFi lending.
The system rate limits fund outflows during abnormal withdrawal activity. It is designed to detect patterns linked to exploits or coordinated attacks.
By slowing withdrawals, it prevents rapid draining of protocol liquidity.
The mechanism gives teams time to respond while protecting user capital.

After the occasionally quite heated discussion on IKA and ICP yesterday, let's look at some key differences together.
(1) Model. ICP uses threshold within the network, IKA uses 2pc-mpc where the network signature is amended by a share from a key held by the user.
icp ppl are raiding my comments rn, but don't get me wrong - i think very highly of icp
icp has been the industry leader for quite some time, taking threshold ecdsa protocols designed for centralized custody and building an mpc network, really pushing the limits of what was possible
but bottom line is tech evolves, and if you want to stay relevant you need to use the best tech
2pc-mpc is the only threshold signature protocol designed for a decentralized network, enabling unprecedented speed, throughput, decentralization and flexibility in the security setup (with the user share mechanism)
being part of a team that was able to design such a novel piece of cryptography, that completely shattered the state of the art benchmarks, set by an impressive and inspirational project like icp, who achieved so much and advanced the space so much, is a *massive* badge of honor and i wear it with pride!
icp got us this far. time to board the @ikadotxyz train and travel together to the next destination.
