Several outlets are reporting the defeat. 'No' is up by nearly 12,000 votes with 99% counted. The AP hasn’t called it yet, but a representative from the Secretary of State’s office told us he doesn’t think there are enough provisional ballots out there to change the outcome, and none of the close counties we’ve called have reported a recount request.
According to the latest filings, the Yes campaign spent more than $2.4 million on ads, mailers, and polished talking points, and that doesn’t include their final push. The opposition spent about $11,000. That’s roughly $200 to every $1, and it still wasn’t enough.
You can fool some of the people some of the time, but not all of the people all of the time. Arkansas voters read past the ads, asked who was paying for them, and decided our Constitution isn’t for sale.
Thank you for paying attention. We’ll keep doing the same.

Issue 3 asks Arkansas voters to put local tax dollars toward "economic development." Has that been tried before?
Yes. In Mississippi County.
In 2002, voters there approved a permanent half-cent sales tax to bring in industry. The steel mills came, and the jobs pay well. But many of the people holding those jobs don't live in Mississippi County. They drive in from neighboring counties, and their paychecks leave with them.
Everyone in Mississippi County pays the tax. The county still keeps losing people.

I don't subscribe to them so I can't read the story. I really don't need to. This is the 9th football season for Hunter at #Arkansas. What is left to investigate and research? He was fighting the way college FB became and the program suffered and still is from it. The BOT enabled him.
