On #WorldPrematurityDay a huge thank you to the obstetric, NICU, paediatric cardiology, surgical & anaesthetic teams at @CV_UHB for looking after my brave boy born at 32 weeks in Sept. We received incredible care over the 6 weeks spent on NICU - now enjoying having him home 🩵

Thank you @bbchealth for highlighting the story of a patient suffering with hernia waiting since 2018 for an operation. Daily pain, inability to carry out daily activities, risk of obstruction/ strangulation. How on earth have we allowed this to be acceptable?! #itsNotJustAHernia
Wow end of an era! My 1st consultant I ever worked for as a doctor. Second day of work he got me into theatre and doing part of the operation. One of the most elegant surgeons I ever saw operating. Great with patients, funny and enjoyed a mess party! Enjoy your retirement 🎊🎉
