Parents of autistic children sleep with one eye open and a foot on the floor, what I mean by that is if you have a autistic child that's incredibly curious and will open the front door to have a look around at 3am in the morning, then you get used to not really sleeping and jumping out of bed at every single tiny noise. You also get used to dressing whilst running down the road in only your underwear.
