Lead investigators with the Guthrie task force recently met in person with DNA Labs International in Florida, the primary laboratory holding key evidence samples and comparison markers.
Additional specialized testing is underway at laboratories in Kansas, San Francisco, and the FBI’s facility in Quantico.
What distinguishes the Florida lab is its expertise in separating complex DNA mixtures, recovering nuclear DNA from hair without roots, and conducting comprehensive forensic investigative genetic genealogy.
While Pima County already has an established contract with the Florida laboratory, the decision to send Guthrie task force investigators there in person may carry greater significance.
Combined with Sheriff Chris Nanos’ recent confidence that the case will be solved, the visit raises the possibility that investigators are making meaningful progress and that a potential breakthrough could be approaching…

MANHUNT: A convicted killer serving life for murder escaped a Tennessee prison, stole a pickup truck, and vanished — triggering a multi-state search that has now reached Missouri.
Jacob Allen Morley breached the perimeter fence at the Northwest Correctional Complex in Tiptonville, Tennessee, on Sunday night. By 1 a.m. Monday, surveillance footage captured him stealing a white 2008 Ford F-350 roughly two miles from the prison. He was convicted in 2025 of first-degree murder, burglary, vandalism, tampering with evidence, and evading arrest.
The victim's close friend told Fox News Digital she fears Morley will kill again. The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has placed him on the state's most wanted list and says he should be considered dangerous.

Mexican authorities say Shayna Feinman, who disappeared from northern Arizona in March 2024, was found alive Friday in Tijuana.
The Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office has not independently confirmed her identity, and Feinman’s family has expressed doubts.
Two men were previously charged with her murder, but prosecutors later sought dismissal of the charges.
