Padre Pio could see angels and demons.
He fought a level of spiritual warfare most of us will never touch.
Before he died, he left us the exact 2 secrets he used to beat lust — for good.
One of them will eliminate 85% of your temptations almost immediately. 🧵
If you're dealing with obsession, do these 3 things:
1. Go to confession. If you're not in a state of grace, there's a reason it's persisting.
2. Pray daily for the grace of forgetfulness.
3. Consecrate yourself to Mary.
If you belong to Mary, you do not belong to Satan.
I've helped over 100 Catholic men quit lust and become virtuous husbands and fathers.
If you want to do more than just overcome lust, if you want to become a St. Joseph to your family, apply for House of Joseph here:

But what if an image won't leave you no matter what you do?
Why would God allow that?
Because He wants you to experience the darkness…
So you'll have a greater desire for the light.
Then go to Our Lady.
Specifically under her title Our Lady of Sorrows.
Ask her for the grace of forgetfulness.
Do this daily, for as long as it takes.
Say this prayer with me right now:
So here's the key the devil doesn't want you to understand:
Every lustful memory in your head is ammo.
Ammo the demons use against you.
So what if you could take the ammo away?
And you can feel the difference.
Grace perfects nature. Sin destroys it.
A thought from the devil feels violent, like your nature is under attack.
A thought from your guardian angel feels almost natural.
Like going downhill.
But here's where it gets interesting:
Your guardian angel does the exact same thing.
In the opposite direction.
That's demons taking an image already in your imagination and fixing your mind on it so you can't think about anything else.
For men in the state of grace, this is much less common.
For men who aren't, it can be very common.
That means the devil can't put new knowledge in your head.
He can't give you new sense experiences.
But he can do something else.
He can take what's already in your memory and imagination…
And drag it to the front of your mind.
Your temptations are not proof that God abandoned you.
They're proof that He's calling you closer to Himself.
Now, to beat these memories, you need to understand how the devil uses them.
Over the past 2 years, I've worked with over 100 Catholic men to help them quit lust.
Almost every one of them has a past.
Years of bad habits. Sometimes decades.
And just as importantly:
Memories.
God could snap His fingers and send every demon on the planet fleeing into hell.
It would cost Him no energy. No effort.
So why doesn't He?
Why is he blessed?
Because enduring temptation is how virtue grows.
Endure a temptation to lust → you grow in chastity.
Endure a temptation to gluttony → you grow in temperance.
And you merit an eternal crown of glory.
You think the saints didn't have these temptations?
That's cute.
They had them. Even temptations to lust.
St. James says:
"Blessed is the man who endures trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life."
📜 James 1:12
