A kid from Accra, now a designer bringing his story full circle 🌍
Giving back to the next generation through a collection woven from the journey they share 🧵
CUT FROM ✱
📆 Dropping Saturday, October 24 #CutFrom
How much of who you are comes from where you’ve been?
Michael Leon picked up something from every place he called home 🇬🇭🇺🇸
Now, he’s bringing those worlds together in one collectionand sharing it with the next generation of Right to Dream.
The CUT FROM ✱ film is out 🧵
CHAPTER 5: IN THE GENES 🧬
His love for style didn’t come out of nowhere.
Michael’s dad taught him to look sharp and approach life with determination, devotion and dedication 👌
CHAPTER 4: MOVE TO THE US
At 15, Michael moved from Ghana to the US on a scholarship to @HotchkissSchool 🇺🇸
A whole new world, a new way of life, and a lot to adapt to 💪
CHAPTER 3: SHOULD I BE HERE?
Being surrounded by talented players made Michael question himself.
It took time to realise he didn’t need to be like anyone else to belong ⭐️
CHAPTER 2: RIGHT TO DREAM
He tried out three times. The first two, he was sent home. The third time, he made it.
Sometimes, the dream takes a few tries ✨
Every journey has a thread 🧵
