True Halloween story. When coaching at Hesperia HS years back we played on Halloween night. We were playing a team we had not beaten in years. We came out in all black uniforms and black socks. All but one sophomore. HC asked โ€œName, what are you doing and what are those socks?โ€ .

You need to be mentally tough in order to be an OC/playcaller. No matter what there will always be players, coaches, and fans that think you need to do things differently. This becomes amplified when you are losing games. Have conviction in your beliefs and keep coaching.
