Most managers piece together their team's week from memory, Slack and status meetings. Until someone burns out or a client budget runs silently over.
We're running a free workshop Tue Oct 6, 9am PT: How to automatically see where your team's time goes (without timesheets or surveillance)

WE CROSSED $3M ARR IN 13 MONTHS 🎉
Zernio is a team of 8. Fully bootstrapped. Based in Spain.
We build the social and messaging infrastructure that AI agents and companies run on. Everyone is obsessed with generating content so we handle the part where it actually gets distributed.
6 months ago this was a one-person company doing $12k MRR.
Yesterday we were on a group call planning the next few months. ARR was $2.99M.
I woke up this morning and we had crossed it.
$3.07M as I write this. Let's see where we land by the end of the month 😉
The rest of the year is the biggest stretch of shipping we've ever lined up. We're documenting all of it here.

One of the reasons why I like using @rize_io is the productivity coach.
Last week, I had a lot of meetings sprinkled throughout my week at different times.
The productivity coach caught that and gave me a nice tip to batch my meetings in the afternoon...
Which I agree I need to do, because morning meetings kill my productivity!
I'm now going through my Calendly and updating my availability for certain meeting types.
PS - This isn't sponsored, but I am an affiliate and can get you a nice discount. 😎
Rize is an automated time tracking app I've been using since 2023.

I know people think that AI will rot your brain, and there's definitely some truth to that. However, for me, I get to work on so many things at one time while still being the strategist and brain behind it. It's made me truly unstoppable. Its provided context my uneducated brain doesn't have, and fills my weaknesses. I'm far more effective when I'm super busy and AI has allowed me to thrive in the environment that works best for my personality and intelligence.
Someone asked how many hours I worked to accomplish my first 90 days at @tabstack. The answer actually shocked me. On average, I got about 6 hours of work done per day. (S/O to @rize_io) There were some pre-launch late nights and one website-building-weekend-bender (9.6 hours), but I'd take an hour or two the next day to rest my brain and play with my kids, or make dairy products.
Almost everything I did in the first 90 days is listed at the bottom of my blog post. It's actually really wild to see how much I got done. As much as @ClaudeDevs ticks me off sometimes, I have to give credit where credit is due and its my most used model. Next for my system is multi-model functionality, an agent-driven to-do list, and checking out Shoutrrr from @heyandras. My content marketing and social game is SO weak right now.

I have a team member who presents with ADHD and amongst some of the things we are trying, to help him with his day to day, @rize_io app is helping him a lot with his time tracking.
Signed up today for a year after a successful trial last week.
Early days, but a great example of how software can genuinely help people.
Thanks @rize_io!

in theory I do interstitial journaling.
in practice I get lost in work and forget for hours.
I hooked the new @rize_io MCP to claude in my obsidian.
My end-of-day skill pulls what rize tracked (apps, projects, time, youtube rabbit holes) and fills in what I forgot to write 🤌

Billable hours are dead for agencies. They were already on the way out but agents giving them the final push.
Your AI agent ran a task in the background for 3 hours while your employee worked on something else for 20 minutes.
You incurred real costs but only 20 minutes shows up as "billable time."
The entire agency pricing model is going to change.

🚀 We just launched @rize_io MCP!
You can now connect Rize to tools like Claude/ ChatGPT and chat with your time data.
Where this really shines is with open-ended questions:
• How can I incorporate AI more into my workflow?
• What projects are overrunning?
• Where are we losing efficiency?
• How am I actually spending my time?

The old agency model [more bodies = more capacity = more revenue] is dying.
Clients can now get 80% of the execution done themselves using AI tools. Which means if you're just selling capacity (hours, headcount, deliverables) you're in a race to the bottom.
The market is rewarding expertise and strategic thinking.

Tessa Rolf just told me most agencies will be dead in 2 years because of AI.
Most agency owners are dropping Slack messages saying "educate yourselves on AI" and calling it a strategy.
The agencies that will win have owners leading by example. They're testing things out and providing space for their team to explore too.
She said it comes from the top 8 times out of 10.
Owner-led or it doesn't stick.

I'm a CPA, and I worked less than 40 hours last week.
(Two weeks before the 4/15 deadline)
This was only achievable through hiring a manager and scheduling tax returns.
I still spend way too much time on X & LI lol.

Agencies lose and underbill all the time. We just built a little calculator to show you much profit you're losing. Let us know what you think!

Manual time tracking will feel insane 12 months from now.
Tessa Rolfe (Agency Ops Co) just told me every agency she's worked with struggles with the same dilemma: either you're rigorous with time tracking and your culture suffers, or you skip it and lack the data to make real decisions.
She estimates 2% profitability just sitting on the table from better tracking. The moment she said it made her "want to throw up" thinking about manual tracking, I felt that in my bones.

Most teams aren’t unproductive. They’re just constantly interrupted.
Context switching quietly destroys more billable time than difficult clients ever will.
A Slack ping here, a quick meeting there, and hours disappear with little to show for it. Most teams never fully see the impact.
@rize_io changes that. It runs silently in the background and automatically shows where your team’s time actually goes.
No timers, no manual logging, no end-of-week chases.
You get a clear view of billable vs non-billable time, which clients are affecting your margins, and how the days are really spent.
Set it up in 60 seconds. Within a week it will obvious how much you're leaving on the table.
