A succinct and constructive contribution to this debate.
Nonrandomized observational analyses have been promoted as alternatives to randomized clinical trials. However, randomization ensures balance between groups, whereas nonrandomized studies are often biased by between-group differences.

Professor Michelle Lane passed away last night after a long illness. I’m devastated at losing such a high quality reproductive biologist and embryologist who contributed so much for IVF and science. A great contributor to @RobsInstitute @UniofAdelaide @ReprodMed @ESHRE @MonashIVF

Not just #endometriosis that requires more high-quality research. Gynaecology is under-emphasized (in medicine and in O&G), under-funded, and under-researched. Those suffering from gynae problems deserve better.
