Data Centres are fueling the climate crisis
The Dublin computing complex, owned by data centre operator Pure DC, revved up its operations in March and consumes 90 megawatts of electricity – enough gas to power 100,000 Irish homes.

Little McKenna Grace doing a quite brilliant imitation of Tiny Tim! This is actually the best imitation we've ever seen of him.

Fantasy has a small vocabulary for women. There is the warrior in impractical armour, whose fighting ability is introduced in the same paragraph as her sweaty cleavage. There is the ethereal beloved, who exists to be worth saving. There is the scheming queen, whose ambition is presented as a corruption of femininity. And there is the sacrificial figure, whose death or suffering provides the emotional fuel for someone else's story.
In this post, I explain why I avoid these defaults #Edvane #TheDarkHearth LINK IN COMMENTS

Watch Patrick Stewart perform SONNET #14 by William Shakespeare—(my favourite of the sonnets by the Bard):

What a heartbreaking week it has been. Sir Patrick Stewart was a friend, a colleague, and a magnificent actor. From the stage to the bridge of the Enterprise, he brought intelligence, grace, and a deep sense of humanity to everything he did. Captain Picard stood for the best of us, and so did the man who played him. I was filled with affection and admiration for him and his work.
My heart goes out to Sunny and his family. He will be deeply missed.

Fredric Brown, who wrote very short mysteries and science fiction with twist endings, was born in Cincinnati on Oct 29, 1906. In Sept 1943 Weird Tales ran "The Geezenstacks": four wax dolls land on a sidewalk, and whatever a girl makes them do happens to her family. #weirdtober

A defendant who refused to plead in medieval and early modern England could face peine forte et dure.
That might mean starvation and brutal confinement, or being pressed beneath increasingly heavy weights until they submitted or died.
No plea meant no trial.
So the law tortured the answer out of them. #Edvane #GrimHistory

Pleased to announce this brand new book, the Keeper Companion, for Call of Cthulhu.
Contains rules updates for Sanity, chases and automatic fire, as well as lots of other material. And 3 new scenarios (the second one of which is by me).
