You're putting groceries back at the checkout while Ottawa is projected to spend $59.3 BILLION this year servicing federal debt.
For comparison, the Canada Health Transfer is $57.4 billion. Federal GST revenue is projected at $54.8 billion. The interest bill exceeds either one.
An entire year's federal GST revenue wouldn't cover it. We'd still be $4.5 billion short. Sit with that next time you check a receipt.
It's like paying more interest on the renovation loan than you can put toward the repairs, while catching the roof leak in a margarine tub. Then the contractor arrives expecting applause for increasing your credit limit.
That's the Liberal approach to competence: Announce the billions, pose beside the announcement and treat anyone asking what we actually got, as an irritating interruption.
Meanwhile, debt charges are Ottawa's fastest-growing expense. What a magnificent achievement for a government so impressed with its own financial expertise.
Carney says borrowing can fund useful things. Then show us the results. Explain the costs and account for the decisions. Carney should be doing that before Parliament without needing an engraved invitation.
If Canadians have to explain a missed payment to the bank, the Prime Minister can damn well explain his borrowing to the people paying for it.
We're paying interest on promises still undelivered.

Carney’s “prudent banker” brand is dead. The PBO just showed the books are being cooked
Debt-service costs are now the fastest-growing federal expense: $25B five years ago → $59B this year (already larger than the Canada Health Transfer) → $83B in five years. Pure interest, paid before anything else
PBO Annette Ryan: the government’s fiscal “anchors” are “more like traffic lights.” Capital spending gets a green light; operating spending is a yellow at best. “Limited fiscal discipline. It’s not stopping spending.”
Real cash borrowing over five years: $733B. New debt from deficits: only $333B. The ~$400B gap is being parked with Crown corporations, loans and special funds—“a step removed from parliamentary oversight.” New risks, she said, and less transparency
The former Bank of Canada/Bank of England governor who once policed balance sheets is now redefining accounting so the headline targets stay pretty while the actual liability grows off-books. Taxpayers get stuck with the interest bill @PBO_DPB

🚨Two budget watchdogs. Same warning. 🚨
Sept 2025, interim PBO Jason Jacques: "If you don't change, this is done."
His term ran out. Carney's government picked Annette Ryan for the permanent job.
Now she's on TV saying the Liberal fiscal anchors work "more like traffic lights" and $733 BILLION in new borrowing over five years is "something to worry about for sure."
Swap the messenger all you want. The math doesn't change. 🤦🏻♂️
Do the math, eh? 🇨🇦

“Please, vote for Brad Bradford.”
-Jennifer McKelvie, former deputy mayor.
WOW! That's quite an endorsement.
Brad Bradford is a rare politician who has support from both Conservatives and Liberals.
He's clearly the leader Toronto needs right now.

Emily Lowan BC Green party Leader: "it is our job to stand against the Conservatives...and their existence"
This is a great example of the 'inclusivity' that the radical left has poisoned our democracy with.
An example of how a radical left party with 10% of the vote thinks this gives them a mandate to dictate their moral position to the other 90%

With PM Carney ignoring this, it is shameful…hard working Canadians money is being fraudulently misused and Carney Liberals do nothing..$434 MILLION!
How can any Liberal MP in their right mind not want to go after the $434.8 million that was wrongly paid out for the Dental Plan. This is taxpayers' hard earned money. The Liberals have no right to not to try to get taxpayer monies back. This is the same as when Ms Joly said it would not be in the best interest of Canadians to recoup the billions "lost" in the Green Energy scandal.
When will the Elbows Up crowd get angry over the loss of tax dollars.

Olivia Chow’s campaign likes to lie about Brad’s water plan.
They’re doing it because they see an electorate that’s ready for change. And they’re terrified that you’re going to vote for Toronto to reach its full potential on Monday.
It’s time to set the record straight. 👇

Was is SCoC Chief Justice Richard Wagner?
Pereceived bias at the Supreme Court
How can Chief Justice Richard Wagner be objective about whether the govt's use of the Emergencies Act was constitutional, when he's already used the same rhetoric condemning the trucker protests as the government did?

Breaking: Canadians pay too much income tax. 🙄
Anyone with a paycheque could've told you that for free.
New international tax index: Canada ranks 28th of 38 countries on personal income taxes.
34th on capital gains and dividends. 📉
Ontario's top rate hits 53.5%.
It kicks in at 2.8x the average wage. In the U.S.? 8.7x.
Carney's big fix was one point off the bottom bracket.
Then Ottawa scratches its head over why talent keeps heading south. 🤦🏻♂️

Reporter quotes NYT article.
Carney: That's not what I said. What I said was.....well you can go back and read the transcript.
LOL. Motherfucker is in full panic mode. He can't remember what bullshit he was spewing on what day to what media a month ago.
Carney in Turkey, snippy when a Canadian reporter brings up his own NYT comments:
Reporter: A month ago you told the NYT you were preparing for the possibility of a U.S. invasion. You just spoke with the President — did that come up?
Carney: The New York Times has the transcript. That is not what I said. Quote the transcript, don’t change things
Then he pivots to “we will never be the 51st state… we’re preparing… strong and getting stronger.”
Carney said the “extreme tail risk / irresponsible not to look at it” thing to the Times. He just doesn’t like when Canadian media is asking him about it @MarkJCarney @AbigailBimman
