Well said, Rep. Dollens!
Spending millions in tax-dollars to buy and force Bibles in every classroom does not improve Oklahoma’s ranking of 49th in education. The State Superintendent should focus on educating students, not evangelizing them.

That’s a nice sentiment @CoryBooker , but the incident was staged by Grump. 🙄
Political violence is never acceptable. My prayers are with former President Trump as he recovers from any injuries.

Read about State Question 832. It’s about raising the state minimum wage. You will be voting on this SQ in November.
Everyday Oklahomans are taking action, making a difference by exercising their constitutional right to shape public policy through direct democracy. They are gathering more than 92,263 signatures in just 90 days (deadline July 14) to give all Oklahomans an opportunity to vote on raising the state’s minimum wage to a livable wage. State Question 832 ties future wage increases to cost-of-living adjustments, a model that has worked well for our neighbors in Missouri. In Oklahoma, the majority of minimum wage earners are over 25 years old. This measure would help about 230,000 Oklahomans, including around 200,000 women, and benefit an estimated 200,000 children in those households. Oklahoma is the 8th poorest state in America, ranked 45th in child food insecurity, and worst in the nation for Adverse Childhood Experiences. SQ 832 raises the minimum wage gradually over five years from the current $7.25. The first increase to $9.00/hr would take effect on January 1, 2025, followed by increases to $10.50 in 2026, $12.00 in 2027, $13.50 in 2028, and finally $15.00/hr in 2029. (Businesses with less than 10 employees at a single location and total annual revenue under $100,000 would be exempt.) Starting in 2030, it provides for yearly increases in the minimum wage indexed to the federal Consumer Price Index. If you haven’t already, there are a few more days to add your signature to SQ832 before the deadline on July 14. We need at least 92,263 valid voter signatures to get on a statewide ballot.

Thank you, @ACLUTx !
Today is a great day to remember that drag is a form of artistic expression — and any government attempt to censor it violates the First Amendment. 😊

This action takes away Texas citizens rights! 😡 Where’s the freedom of speech here?
BREAKING: Gov. Abbott signed #HB900 into law, which will ban books about LGBTQIA+, Black, and Brown experiences in public schools. Lawmakers have no right taking away the freedom of Texas students to read — just because they don’t believe certain people are worth reading about.

Preach, @ACLUOK !
No one should face criminal prosecution for accessing or providing abortion. That's why we're launching our Abortion Criminal Defense Initiative.

Hearing the Oklahoma Senate plans to include SB 613, a ban on best practice medical care for transgender Oklahomans under 18, on tomorrow morning's floor agenda. Before the House Public Health Committee hears HB 2177, a similar ban with funding ban attached, at 3 PM. #OKleg – at Oklahoma City, OK

Oh, lort! Par for the course. 🙄
It's the first day back to school after a long holiday break, and Ryan Walters checked out early for some afternoon drinks with State Rep. Chad Caldwell at Whiskey Cake! Nice to see him working so hard for Oklahoma kids!

Happy #tulsapride! It was the perfect ending to an incredible #PrideMonth Thank you Tulsa!
Sad. 😢
The perpetrator in yesterday's shooting in Tulsa bought a semi-automatic rifle and then murdered 4 innocent people with it just hours later. That absolutely should not be possible, and The SAVE Act would prevent it from happening again.
